Yes, Mark 7:

19 For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)
Paul confirmed that in Romans 14:

14 I am convinced and fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. … 20a Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean.
More generally, Colossians 2:

16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day.
Eating pork or shrimp is fine but you don't have to. If you can avoid eating pork and shrimp, good for you :)

Interestingly, lard was shown to be protective against alcoholic damage of liver. Beef fat was better, but lard was still very good. The study is only in rats, though:

1. I mark 7 - no one was eating rats, cats, snakes or pork. Mark 7 was about the issue of eating bread. ... context matters. And here it is -

The Pharisees and some of the scribes *gathered to Him after they came from Jerusalem, 2 and saw that some of His disciples were eating their bread with unholy hands, that is, unwashed (sprinkled/baptized/ceremonially cleansed from sin). 3 (For the Pharisees and all the other Jews do not eat unless they carefully wash their hands, thereby holding firmly to the tradition of the elders; 4 and when they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they completely cleanse themselves; and there are many other things which they have received as traditions to firmly hold, such as the washing of cups, pitchers, and copper pots.) 5 And the Pharisees and the scribes *asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk in accordance with the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with unholy hands?”

The idea that this discussion about eating bread - means it is ok to eat rats, cats, dogs bats... does not fit the context.

Notice that in Mark 7:7-13 What is condemned is setting aside the Word of God for the sake of tradition.

Notice that long before Moses , long before Israel - in Gen 7 there is a distinction made between clean and unclean animals such that eating just one unclean animal would delete the entire species.

An interesting thing... The Unclean Animals were the animals that Heathen Tribes Sacrificed to their god's.

As for the Clean Animals... They were specifically acceptable in the eyes of God for Sacrifice.

You are not concerned when Jesus says: "Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’ MATTHEW 7 24

It is even worse when we teach others that it is ok to not obey the commandments of God.

Matthew 5:19

Whoever refuses to obey any command and teaches other people not to obey that command will be the least important in the kingdom of heaven
Matthew 15:11 That which enters into the mouth doesn't defile the man; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man. <- Those are red letters, also.

That which enters into the mouth doesn't defile the man;
Defilement refers to a state of spiritual contamination and impurity. The reason we eat right is for our physical health. Also there is a difference between moderation and excess. You do not destroy your liver if you drink in moderation. Dr Ornish has done a lot of research on this and he had found that diet and exercise keep people healthy and can even reverse disease. We are told to choose life. That is always the right choice to make.

We are talking about ONE word that Jesus uses in the Sermon on the mount: Lawless. "Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’ KJV uses the word: " ye that work iniquity." We see this six times. What do you have to say about the meaning of the word Lawlessness? Are you KJV only? DO you think this word is a bad translation? Because in the KJV the verse in 1 John 3:4 talks about those who transgress the law. We can study that if you want.

4Everyone who practices sin practices lawlessness as well. Indeed, sin is lawlessness.c 5But you know that Christ appeared to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6No one who remains in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has seen Him or known Him.

1 John 3:4 N-AFS

No, sibling, it is not any of those. Excellent quotes, though.

It is not wise to toss that word around. The one you keep insistently using.

Are you saying scripture contradicts scripture? I understand that people say: " 5But you know that Christ appeared to take away sins" John goes onto say: No one who remains in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has seen Him or known Him.

So it appears that when Jesus takes away our sin, we are no longer sinners. Or we are to be set free from sin.

Are you wanting to give me verses that say it is ok to sin and be a sinner?

Sibling, if you understood the scripture you are quoting, you would be trembling in fear. Please understand me when I specify that you are using scripture in a very dangerous way. I mean this lovingly.

Do you obey all Law? Do you offer the sacrifices to the priests? I suppose you dont cut the edges of your beard either...

We are not Jewish (if you are, then see above...), we are not under the Law of Moses. We are Gentiles.
Thats why we live by grace, we were not able to be sinless, we just cant live sinless... the Law is our principle, great truth and principles to live by, such as avoiding pork, but I had pepperoni pizza last night, and will never deny myself pepperoni...
We were not called to be Jewish or under the Law

I am not using anything anywhere. I am asking you to explain the scripture to me. Yes I do tremble in fear when I see the word MANY in the Bible. Paul tells us many are weak and sick because we do not examine ourselves. I would be very happy if the word were FEW because then we could disregard what we are being told. We can not do that with the word MANY.

When I get revived and resuscitated God tells me if I would abide in Him, He would not need to rescue me. At 72 many of my friends have died. My wife best friend JUST died at 62. That was a big surprise to all of us. We did not expect her to die that young. Her husband was a best friend of mine and he died at the age of 70. She had a lot of stuff and they have been over there for days cleaning it out and giving it away.

I just talked to a friend of mine from 50 years ago. He was my best friend at the time. He was telling me that all of his friends have died. There is no way I should still be alive and my doctor tells me it is a lot of work to keep me alive. But the fact is I am alive and having this conversation with you.

This is the doctor that went into my heart twice to do an abrasion. The second time it turned out to be a blood clot so he did not actually do anything then. A ultra sound would have been a lot easier than an abrasion.

No and if I did I would not have the medical problems I am having. I have a defibrillator so when my heart stops it will shock the heart to get it working again. It is also a pace maker. When I went through the diet class everyone wanted to fight with the idea that they would have to eat right if they wanted to be healthy. Heart disease and a lot of other diseases like cancer and diabetes is reversible if you diet and exercise.

Brother in Jesus, I appreciate that you Love and care for your siblings in Jesus enough to show your concern for them. I count myself lower than you and express my gratitude. Please consider not using passages that use the term "Lawless". I say this out of the same spirit of Love and Concern that you speak to me with.

I am thankful that you were revived! Praise Hashem! I'm so sorry that your wife's best friend has passed! The loss of your best friend is horrible!

Interesting. So you do not think we should warn people of the problems they are going to cause for themselves when they get older? My best friend from 50 years ago. When his fiancé died in a fire, I did walk away. This was the first time I talked to him in 50 years. It is funny because my first girl friend in High School. I had not talked to her in 50 years and then all of a sudden boom, there she was on face book. I wonder what it will be like in Heaven when we are reunited with all our friends that have gone on before us. Sometimes the loudest voice we hear is our future self trying to tell us to knock it off because there are going to be consequences to what we are doing.

First and foremost, I am thankful to be receiving wise words from a person who has experienced life, like yourself.
My best friend from 50 years ago. When his fiancé died in a fire, I did walk away. This was the first time I talked to him in 50 years.
Oh man! That must have been quite the reunion! Thank goodness that you got to meet up with him, again!
It is funny because my first girl friend in High School. I had not talked to her in 50 years and then all of a sudden boom, there she was on face book.
Oh my goodness, yes! Social media is a trip! Long forgotten shadows of the past can just pop up out of nowhere!
I wonder what it will be like in Heaven when we are reunited with all our friends that have gone on before us.
It will be wonderful! We will finally get to hug our Loving King! Well, after I fall down before Him weeping with gratitude! All I know for certain is that we will be like little children in Heaven… whatever that actually means. I’m sure our eyes will be wide with wonder!
Sometimes the loudest voice we hear is our future self trying to tell us to knock it off because there are going to be consequences to what we are doing.
You’re lucky! For me it’s always a club over the head by the Holy Spirit of Christ telling me that I’m being unwise. Well, that and my present self looking back at my past self, saying… look at what you’ve done to me! :p

All Love in Jesus Christ to you, crowned with the wisdom of age, Brother in Him!

There is nothing better than to worship, praise, honor and glorify God. All the more well we worship God in Heaven. When Jesus talks about the children I think He is talking about mature children because the Bible is all about bearing fruit. There is a program on TV are you smarter than a fifth grader. For a lot of people that would be a step up to function at the fifth grade level.

Fifth graders have a very literal approach to the Bible. They do not get into learning the symbolism until they are older. Most newspapers are written at a 8th grade level but Jesus does not require us to function at that level.

Most people believe what He was talking about is:

  • Trust: Children naturally trust their parents. Similarly, we must trust God wholeheartedly.
  • Dependency: Children depend on their parents for everything. We should recognize our dependence on God.
  • Humility: Children don’t boast or rely on their own achievements. We need to approach God with humility.
  • Simplicity: Children accept things simply. Our faith should be straightforward, not overly complicated.
  • Receptivity: Children are open to learning. We should be receptive to God’s truth.

Dr Ornish has done a lot of research on this and he had found that diet and exercise keep people healthy and can even reverse disease.
Though I agree that changing a bad diet, stopping smoking, stopping drinking, exercising, good sleep and lowering stress can reverse almost any disease, I would be careful with the high carb/low fat vegetarianism of Ornish:
