Elder Hao Ming of Deyang Qingcaodi Reformed Church was originally detained in November 2021 on a false allegation of fraud. The authorities are urging him to confess in exchange for his freedom but he has maintained his integrity and refused.

Deacon Jia Xuewei of Early Rain Covenant Church recently suffered a broken rib while being detained by national security agents after attending a graduation ceremony held by the church. After being released Jia’s landlord was pressurised by the police and he was forced to move out.
