This doesn't make any sense, neither believes nor disbelieves?

Existence is a binary state. Something either exists or doesn't exist. Belief is a binary state....you either believe or you don't.

The only possibility of a third option is for those who have never been introduced to the concept of God. Babies, for example, are agnostic. You're either in a state of belief or not.

Saying you're open to the "possibility" is ridiculous. Everyone can be convinced by whatever they find convincing.
I’ve become agnostic about the age of the earth and a global flood.

Not the same...not a binary choice.

Global flood can have lots of meanings. Are we talking about a post Ice Age widespread flooding or Waterworld type situation?

As for the age of the Earth. Could be anything...it would take a lot of evidence to securely get it down to a specific date.

We're talking about the difference between belief and knowledge. I don't believe unicorns or dragons exist or existed. Do I know this? Of course not. There's plenty of stories and if they start unearthing unicorn fossils....I'd be changing my belief.

I have said the same thing about the age of the earth and there’s no evidence of a global flood.
I can’t really relate to someone who is agnostic about God. There is one or there isn’t.
Although there are many other things I would say I don’t know one way or the other about

Is this evidence of a global flood?

Some of the evidence:

"Dr. Whitmore is best known for his important work on the Coconino Sandstone, a well-known rock layer of the Grand Canyon. It is the light beige colored sandstone that is often seen higher in the canyon walls.

Conventional scientists have long considered this sandstone layer to be an example of an ancient desert filled with sand dunes. The technical term is eolian, or wind-blown, sandstone.

Through years of close examination, Dr. Whitmore has provided significant evidence against this view. Instead, he argues the Coconino should be interpreted as a massive underwater sand deposit, or marine sandstone. In other words, the Coconino provides impressive evidence for a global flood.

While Dr. Whitmore was in the Grand Canyon in 2017, he had the opportunity to stop at a number of places where he could demonstrate these unique aspects of the Coconino sandstone. The following evidences provide reasonable support for rethinking the origin of this famous beige-colored formation.

  • Cross-beds
  • Animal footprints
  • Burrows
  • Sand injectiles
  • Sand grains to recumbent folds"

That's the same logic as saying I have a 50% chance of winning the local lottery. I either will. Or I won't.

If there were no God none of us would be having these conversations. All would be empty darkness: without form and void.

I love the phrase "conventional scientists".

Is the local lottery a 2 number lottery?

And tonight's winning number is.....1...all you people who bought #2 are sadly out of luck.
