  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Running Cover For Biden’s Senility Is The Umpteenth Example Of How Media Interfere In Elections

Media excuses for Biden’s senility aren’t just political favoritism, but an example of controlling what information reaches voters.
In 2020, corporate media blacked out coverage of the bombshell Hunter Biden laptop right before the presidential election. After the election, a survey of Joe Biden voters in swing states found that nearly half were unaware of the pay-for-play scandal evidenced by the laptop and nearly 1 in 10 said they would have changed their vote if they had known about it. That’s an election-altering percentage of voters.

Here we are one presidential election cycle later, and 62 percent of voters say “Joe Biden not having the necessary mental and physical health” for another term is a major concern of theirs heading into November. A full 89 percent say it is at least a minor concern.

But again, media outlets are telling voters to disbelieve their own eyes about Biden’s unelectability.

What laptop? Post post a photo of it.
What blackout? The false rumors were everywhere.

There is no such scandal, because there is no such evidence.
But again, media outlets are telling voters to disbelieve their own eyes about Biden’s unelectability.
Not happening.

Could the same thing be said for right-wing sources (like the Federalist) who make excuses for the criminality of Trump and his supporters?

I am still grateful for our first amendment rights and especially freedom of the press. It allows citizens to be informed and hear diverse opinions. We need this ability in order to hold leaders accountable and to help maintain the balance of power in government. You have the information to make your own decision regarding politicians in the news. You are free to ignore the opposing views presented but not free to keep them from publishing their views. The first amendment is brilliant in its simplicity and effectiveness. Plus it gives people umpteen ideas for new threads on social media platforms :).

Frankly I think a lot of this "Biden is super old", "senile", "dementia", etc. stuff come down to two things:

1. He's clearly got that "old man voice" thing going on with the raspy, breathy speech.
2. His gait is clearly a bit stiff.

Neither of these impact his capabilities, but both make whatever impairments he has look worse.
