An associate of Rudy Giuliani -- Lev Parnas -- has initiated talks with impeachment investigators through his attorney.

The attorney, Joseph Bondy, told the team from CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" that he had sent a letter to congressional investigators saying Parnas will comply with a congressional subpoena for his documents and testimony.

Trump has repeatedly denied knowing Parnas or his associate Igor Fruman, who was also arrested while trying to leave the country last month. In photos posted to a now-inactive Facebook page, Parnas and Fruman frequently sought to tout a close relationship to the President, his family and his advisers -- including Giuliani.

"I don't know those gentlemen. Now it's possible I have a picture with them because I have a picture with everybody, I have a picture with everybody here," Trump said last month, adding that someone told him there "may be" a photo with them "at a fundraiser or somewhere, but I have pictures with everybody."

Bondy told The Post, "Any sentient being looking at the public record of the President and Parnas together — during intimate dinners, waving to each other at rallies, taking pictures together, and of Parnas's alleged involvement with the President's lawyer Rudy Giuliani — could divine that the President and Parnas knew each other."

My suspicion, based on the limited information that has come out about Parnas' and Fruman's activities in Ukraine, leads me to believe that this is what might be most damaging to the President in the impeachment hearings. It sounds as if they were heavily involved with Giuliani in the investigation Giuliani was doing there, that (based on Lutsenko's changing testimony) there may have been inappropriate dealings with some witnesses, and that it was largely a campaign by Parnas and Fruman, aided by Giuliani (not sure if naively or intentionally), in getting the ambassador to Ukraine removed from her post.

Lev Parnas Instagram Reveals Personal Note From Trump Thanking Him For His ‘Friendship’

Well, it's seeming more and more obvious that when Trump said “I don’t know those gentlemen” about Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman.

Was a (yet another) flat out lie by Trump.

Prosecutors in the Southern District of New York asked a judge on Wednesday to revoke bail for Lev Parnas for making false statements about his assets, including a $1 million payment he allegedly received from Russia in September.

Why it matters: Parnas is an associate of Rudy Giuliani's who was indicted in October on campaign finance charges. He helped connect Giuliani with Ukrainian officials who pushed unsubstantiated allegations about Joe Biden and his son, eventually resulting in an impeachment inquiry after President Trump and Giuliani led a campaign to pressure Ukraine to investigate the allegations.

The big picture: Parnas' lawyer Joseph Bondy has repeatedly requested that prosecutors turn over documents they seized so that Parnas could provide them to the House Intelligence Committee for its impeachment inquiry. Call records in the Democrats' impeachment report show that Parnas communicated with the committee's ranking member Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), which Bondy has claimed his client remembers.

Lordy, there are (apparently) tapes.

A recording reviewed by ABC News appears to capture President Donald Trump telling associates he wanted the then-U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch fired while speaking at a small gathering that included Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman -- two former business associates of Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani who have since been indicted in New York.

The recording appears to contradict statements by Trump and support the narrative that has been offered by Parnas during broadcast interviews in recent days. Sources familiar with the recording said the recording was made during an intimate April 30, 2018, dinner at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Trump has said repeatedly he does not know Parnas, a Soviet-born American who has emerged as a wild card in Trump’s impeachment trial, especially in the days since Trump was impeached.

"Get rid of her!" is what the voice that appears to be Trump’s is heard saying. "Get her out tomorrow. I don't care. Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. OK? Do it."

On the recording, it appears the two Giuliani associates are telling Trump that the U.S. ambassador has been bad-mouthing him, which leads directly to the apparent remarks by the president. The recording was made by Fruman, according to sources familiar with the tape.

[It was not until a year later that Yovanovitch was recalled from her position -- in April 2019. She said the decision was based on "unfounded and false claims by people with clearly questionable motives" that she was disloyal to Trump.]

A copy of the recording is now in the custody of federal prosecutors in New York's Southern District, who declined to comment to ABC News.

Trump deals with the best people, especially the ones he doesn't know.

The tapes would be more helpful than the testimony. It is hard to say the testimony would be credible. But tapes of the events changes that.

Not really. There's already far-right spin that the tapes are a fabrication - perhaps an impersonator or something. No worries, there will be many mutually-contradictory excuses to latch on to in the coming weeks.

Igor Fruman, an associate of Rudolph W. Giuliani who aided his political activities on behalf of former president Donald Trump, is expected to plead guilty this week in connection with his indictment on campaign finance fraud charges, according to court records made public Monday.

It was not immediately clear on what counts Fruman was expected to plead guilty, or if he intended to cooperate with prosecutors.

Fruman and Parnas were arrested in October 2019 at Dulles International Airport where they had one-way tickets to Frankfurt, Germany.

Giuliani solicited the assistance of Fruman and Parnas, both Soviet-born emigres, in his efforts to find information overseas that he hoped would damage President Biden ahead of the 2020 election.

I'm sorry, but I can't get over the fact that someone on Team Donald literally had an assistant named "Igor."

I guess it took a little longer than expected, but...

Igor Fruman, an associate of Rudy Giuliani, pleaded guilty Friday in New York federal court to a charge stemming from a case alleging he funneled foreign money to US campaign coffers.

Fruman, 56, pleaded guilty to solicitation of a contribution by a foreign national. He faces up to five years in prison.

His plea didn't include an agreement to cooperate with the government.

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman were taken into custody in New York, the Wall Street Journal reported. The precise charges against them were not immediately clear, but a company run by the two men, Global Energy Producers LLC, has been accused of violating campaign finance laws through a $325,000 donation to the group America First Action, as first reported by The Daily Beast.

The messages, written in Russian and shared on WhatsApp in October 2018, were celebratory.

“How is Washington?” Andrey Kukushkin asked in a message to an associate, Igor Fruman.

“Everything is great!!” Fruman wrote back. “We are taking over the country!!!!” Soon after, Fruman’s business partner, Lev Parnas, provided some evidence: a picture of himself, beaming as he stood between Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

Lev Parnas found guilty on six counts of campaign finance charges

Rudy Giuliani's former associate Lev Parnas was convicted on six counts related to "influence buying" campaign finance schemes.

A jury of eight men and four women found Parnas guilty of scheming with co-conspirators to use a Russian backer's money to fund political contributions they hoped to trade for political favor for their budding joint cannabis venture.

Russian pot entrepreneur tied to Parnas, Fruman is latest charged in campaign finance plot

The charges against Andrey Muraviev are the latest shoe to drop in a plot that includes South Florida-based Soviet émigrés Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman — two of the odder characters in the orbit of the last administration — President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, a $1 million political fund and the peculiarly named company Fraud Guarantee.

Muraviev was charged with conspiring to make an illegal foreign straw donation and making an illegal foreign donation. He was actually indicted in September 2020, but the charges were sealed until Monday, for reasons that are not clear.

Parnas now awaits sentencing after being found guilty by a New York jury on six campaign finance charges, while Fruman is due in prison to serve a sentence of one year and a day.

It's remarkable that you pull out these threads that I had forgotten about, and we can re-read them and see how they progressed.

'There will be receipts': Giuliani associate Lev Parnas teases tell-all book

Posting on social media Monday, Parnas announced his upcoming tell-all book, "Shadow Diplomacy: Lev Parnas’ Wild Ride from Brooklyn to Donald Trump’s Inner Circle."

"It remains true that there were meetings with Rudy in early 2019 discussing the Russians having Hunter Biden’s emails, months before the same material ended up on the Hunter Biden laptop in that Delaware repair shop," Parnas wrote in a 2022 thread. "It doesn’t take a PhD to ascertain what went on here. Parnas was later arrested and then the emails magically showed up at a blind computer repairman’s shop."

I love the Conservisphere and the way the hive mind operates.

J6 was a false flag operation conducted by the FBI, BLM, Antifa and Fed (not sure what dept.) Ray Epps and run by Nancy Pelosi for the purpose of (reasons).
At the same time, Hunter Biden randomly picks a computer repair shop of a blind, ardent Donald supporter who couldn't see or identify him, to
drop off a laptop full of salacious photos and evidence that incriminates his entire family.
To both of which conservatives say, 'sounds legit'.

Then there's Andrew Breitbart, who had been diagnosed with heart disease a year before his death has a heart attack, so clearly President Obama or Secretary Clinton had him murdered.
Meanwhile, in NYC, Ivana Trump falls down a flight off stairs, dies, has no autopsy, is cremated and buried in a casket so heavy that 8 men are required to carry it.
Sounds about right.
