I think it's a ritual. There's a lot of things pointing to that in the symbolism including the moon phase. The first incident occurred during a waxing crescent moon. You'd visualize your goals, meditate on your desires and work towards your intention. The end result was the shooting.

The latest incident occurred during a waxing gibbous moon. You'd refine your plans, assess situations, and refine your ideas. The end result was an attempted shooting. Both assailants have three names, were in commercials, etc.

Oftentimes they're not random people like they want the public to believe. And the average person would be terrified. You'd need someone willing to take the risk and die. Whether they fail or not. I've been hearing he'd be killed for a couple of years because the signs were suggesting it. And it's the domino effect they want. He's very popular with alt right groups around the globe.

When you consider the division we have in America and what's happening in the U K and elsewhere. Many are on the edge and they just need a nudge. His assassination would set people off and not in the best way. It's not a joking matter. Not only because he's human but the fallout that could occur if something happens to him.

Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Trump's rhetoric angers crazy people.
The pattern of victim blaming had to be squelched for decades when it came to crimes against women. We will probably continue to see that when it comes to violence against republican presidents - a pattern of victim-blaming will surface in much the same way.

His political tactic is to lie to people
This is exactly what Republicans say they see in Kamala's statements as well as Bidens.

I hope we don't use that language to justify assassination attempts - because America will have turned a very dark corner if that is all we needed.
and create anger. Anger the wrong people and you face the consequences of that anger.
Yep - - the party that seeks to appeal to the unhinged unstable element to see if they can push them over the edge - will indeed see some pretty bad results. Everyone seem to agree on that.

Trump was almost assassinated...yet again

No wonder we don't have "all violence" as our standard today. What we have is multiple block-buster headline grabbing assassination attempts against one political party. Period.

Violence is never acceptable but but having attempts at only Trump has no indication of guilt on Democrats. Neither assassin was Liberal but were Conservatives of some sort.

Hopefully, since this guy survived we can get a better understanding of why he did this.

What evidence do you have that proves that both Crooks and Routh were conservatives of some sort?

You mean violence against men. That's been documented and there's data to support your statement. But relating it to him won't move the needle. When you can demonstrate the same across different groups the argument is solid. Otherwise you'll go in circles.

Routh voted for Trump in 2016 and Crooks was a registered Republican.

actually I mean cases where crimes were committed against women and then people came out claiming that "The woman deserved it - just look at her makeup, or just look at her clothes or ...". They were engaging in victim-blaming.

Actually engaging in that victim blaming scheme is a bad thing even if you just do it to one person.

King of like robbing a bank. It is bad even if you only keep robbing one bank.

Republicans are not out there declaring Trump to be 'an existential threat to democracy'.

So many news clips of democrats doing that - but not the big flurry that some suppose for Republicans doing it.

But I do admire one thing about democrat politicians in congress - they do march in step a lot better than the Republican house-of-cats, not so easy to herd the republicans.

That is not true. The Lincoln Project is made up of Republicans who have said that Trump was a threat to Democracy for several years. The are also several members of Trump's cabinet and staff have made such claims along with several House or Senate persons that have made the claim.

Neocon warmongers like the Lincoln project aren't people you should appeal to as beacons of sanity. They are just afraid of their power and influence failing.

When you said violence is never a legitimate option, did you mean that? Do you know your country was founded on the basis of violent revolution?

He said Republicans weren't doing it and I showed that they were

Our country was founded on violent revolution but they created the US Constitution so Americans had another way to settle their differences.
