CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's "interesting" is the inaccurate distorted vision so many have of him. And that is what is not a good or positive thing.

I think everyone has an inaccurate, distorted vision of any politician. It borders on fanaticism and hero worship.
I think people so invested in politics possibly need a job or a hobby and a dose of reality about what politics is and who politicians are.
This is not to put anyone down, it's a sincere opinion of mine that too many people live through TV, media or other people.
It's pitiful, IMO.

I agree. I remember seeing the National enquirer "Stars without makeup" issue in the grocery store checkout line.
Our perception of politicians, celebrities, are skewed by television, media, etc. They are just part of the machine.

It should bogle ones mind to see hatered for a leader that wants to make your country great again.... right?
I would be asking myself if life was better in 2019 or 2023.... Duh... right?
Even in Canada, we have a leader that is systmatically and outright destroying or country in plain view.
Same with Biden.
People still keep Trump in the news for several reasons:
1/ What would they have to report without him?
2/ The establishement Republicans and Democrats hate him for destroying their corrupt regime.
3/ The media is a paid leftist voice.... Trump is their target.
4/ The more negativity that they can put out, against Trump, the better chance of naive people believing it.
5/ To keep the attention away from the Biden/Harris pathetic administration and all their gaffs.
6/ In a hail Mary desperate attempt to get Trump off of the ballot for the 2024 election. Because... when he wins he will:
A/ Make the US energy self sufficient again
B/ Close the border and stop the criminal action of the cartells.
C/ Stop the outrageous spending
D/ Gut the CIA and FBI of it's corrupt leadership
E/ Expose and drain the swamp.

Yes... The deficite is the difference between government spending and government revenue... Biden has increased taxes to make the deficite smaller...You've confused the debt and the deficit. Learn about it here:

Debt is the total money that the government owes..... which also pays interest. This deflates the dollars value.
So, a government can hit the public with tons of taxes and lower the deficite... meanwhile spending into oblivion and deflating the dollar and buying power of the currency.
Would you like to live like you are now... under Biden..... Or like it was in 2018?
The powers that be... In Canada and the US... are doing everything that you would do if you wanted to destroy and economy, increase crime, raise the cost of living, end the middle class....
You couldn't do a better job if you set out to do just that..... Which.... IMO is what they want to do.

So far, Biden outsmarted Trump and McCarthy. Which isn't exactly a high standard, but gives you some idea why republicans keep losing elections (and a hint as to why they are trying to find ways to undermine elections as a means of establishing government).
