My friends concussion got worse.

As you all know my friend suffered a concussion a few weeks ago. Well it turns out his concussion got a lot worse. He discorded me in the middle of the night last night and mentioned that he was feeling very dizzy and lightheaded and had a bad headache and had been throwing up all evening/night. I told him this morning when I woke up to get some medical advice and he hasn't messaged me back yet. He may possibly be in the hospital again because it is not like him to not respond to me. I mean sometimes he sleeps all day but he would have normally woken up by now. So odds are he's in the hospital and doesn't have his phone on him. Please pray for him again and keep him in your prayers. Thank you.

I still haven't heard from him. Im thinking of calling the Ohio police and having them check on him. I know his address and name in cases of emergencies like this. If I don't hear from him until tonight I think I will do that. I'm not in contact with his mom or I would call her. She lives only one city from him while my wife and i are several states away.

I think calling the police is a good idea, and maybe don't wait till tonight. Tell them that this is a person that you're normally in frequent contact with, and that they had a head injury, and that symptoms suddenly got worse. I'm picturing the friend passed out on the floor, with no one to call an ambulance.

I'm looking for his mother's number online. I'd rather call her than the police because she might know what's going on and can update everyone.

His mother calls him everyday so if something is wrong odds are she knows about it. If I can't find her number I'll call the police.

Oh, it's good to hear that mom is in touch regularly. If something has gone wrong, she would probably know, then.

Yeah I couldn't find her number she is unlisted so we called the police they are going to check on him. Hopefully they get back to us soon.

Ok so I got the full scoop. What happened was one of his neighbors heard a thud and went to investigate. My friend keeps his blinds open and his neighbor saw him unconscious on the floor and called the ambulance. My friend has been unconscious since and just woke up around 5 am this morning. Apparently his concussion had gotten way worse than the hospital previously thought and they're going to hold him for a week or two to make sure his concussion doesn't get any worse.

Its partially my fault his concussion got worse because we've been playing video games together and I didn't know that he couldn't play video games while he was recovering from a concussion. Once I found out I told him it was best we stop then he said he was feeling a whole lot better so we continued to play. He is upset about only being able to watch TV 2 hours a day and very limited phone time but I told him to cooperate with the doctors so we probably won't talk much for a while. Please continue praying for him but I'm glad he's fine. He needs to listen to doctors orders or next time he might not wake up.

I havent heard any updates yet since Thursday. I think they caught him using his phone and took it away from him. A good move since he won't get better if he doesn't listen to the doctors but also kind of disappointing since I'm anxious for updates and he can't give them to me. When I hear updates I'll let you guys know I'm still continually praying for him and hope he will recover soon.

They just allowed him to have his phone back although they are limiting his time on it. He is feeling a lot better and he will go home on the 6th of April. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

He is heading home in an hour. He still will need to take it easy on his brain for at least a week. He can't play video games for about a month. I'm making sure I enforce these rules because I want my friend to get better. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!
