A little help from someone who understands Greek?

There's a particular radio interview of Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou on Youtube that I'm very interested in listening to but can't. There is none that has English subtitles available. The interview is only about 6 or 7 minutes. Would it be possible for any of you Greek speaking members to listen to it and then explain to me what the Metropolitan has said, in summary? Thanks. You might have more success if you go to a Greek learning forum of some kind (like r/GREEK) and ask there if someone can look at it and summarize.

I would ask my wife, but she is currently doing further studies at university, on top of a complex translation of a legal contract, and revising her translation of a book written by the Abbot of a monastery in Greece. She would happily do it, but she already has too much to deal with.

Thanks. I think I can download it onto a pc and then upload it into an online audio translating program.

I managed to load the audio recording into an automatic subtitling program and it created a transcript. I then copied and pasted the transcript into various translating engines on the web, but the transcription was not accurate enough for a clear or concise understanding of meaning. At this point it seems that the only way I can know what the Metropolitan said is to get a precise transcript made by a person who is fluent in both Greek and English, or to learn to understand conversational Greek myself. I've submitted a request for a quote for this transcript. We'll see how much it'll cost.

If I purchase it, I'll try to come back and put it on here.

The cost quote for a Greek to English Transcription for this less than 6 minute audio recording was $270. I didn't have much choice but to order it if I want to quickly learn what was really said during this conversation. Too bad it costs so much. I'll try to put the recording up on YouTube with the subtitles in English, so it perhaps won't be a total waste of money. I'll add the link into this thread if and when it becomes available, with an explanation as to why it may be of some importance.

I'm sorry my wife isn't able to do it for you at present. She just requested an extension for one of her assessments that was due on Friday. She was so stressed about not being able to finish it. Thankfully the whole class now has until Sunday night.
$270 sounds a bit steep.

I've used whisper (GitHub - openai/whisper: Robust Speech Recognition via Large-Scale Weak Supervision) before and it does fairly well, but I haven't tried Greek and specifically Greek-to-English. This should be better than web tools if you can get it to run, but that requires some knowledge and it's still not perfect.

I have the translation. I'd like to create a video for YouTube that has both Greek and English subtitles (or at least English), and then put it up on there. I've not ever done this before though, and it seems like it's going to take a lot of work.

Putting in subtitles isn't hard if you know the language, just time-consuming because you have to sync everything up right--but as you don't know the language, it might be a lot harder.

However, why do you want to do it here? The original video is entirely audio to begin with, being a radio interview. I don't really see what one gets out of subtitling pure audio that they wouldn't get from just having the text posted; if anything it would seem less convenient, because someone would be forced to wait through it as it plays, rather than simply being able to read the text at their own pace. It just seems a lot of extra work on yourself.

Good point. I can put the text up. I think it will still be of value to also produce it as a video though because many people may come across it in their YouTube feeds who otherwise wouldn't ever discover it.

There is a fundamental disagreement between Orthodox Churchmen over eschatology. Since I decided to present a lecture series on Orthodox Christian End Times Prophecies, my preparatory research has exposed me to many arguments and claims from the opposing camps. One thing is crystal clear to me at this point: We are not even going to see the mark (of the Beast) coming, and receiving it will seem the perfectly natural and proper thing to do. Those few who refuse will appear to be crazy, and their refusal considered to be a terrible treachery against mankind. The darkness (Matthew 6:23) is greater and wider than we suspect.

God willing, I'll start a new thread relating to prophecies soon.

Archbishop Averky taught that receiving the mark on the head and hand means you will think and act like the Beast. it won’t be something obvious like an actual mark, but far more subtle.

I've heard that too, but from all that I've studied about it I'm convinced that it's both, since those who belong to God receive an actual mark, which is the "seal of the gift of the Holy Spirit" in the sacramental act of Holy Chrismation, and so likewise, since much of what Satan does in the Antichrist is a cheap imitation (i.e. a parody and mockery of God's Christ), the worshippers of the Beast will receive an "anointing" for healing, with unholy oil to mock the "oil of the catechumens" which is for the health of body and soul, shortly after, a baptism (in a symbolic way in the blood of the children murdered/sacrificed in the womb for medical research purposes), and then, finally a "sealing" of sorts that mimics Holy Chrismation, but is done with an unholy chrism, likely to be injected so as to be internal. It's like I said: the majority will not even know what they are doing on account of the "strong delusion" that God will permit in these times. Just know that mRNA molecules cannot reach a cell's interior to do their work without the use of lipids (i.e. oils, fats, waxes) incorporated into the injections. The vaccine is a "lipid nanoparticle". Think about this "oil" and about the methods of research commonly accepted now, but previously condemned by the Holy Orthodox Church as unacceptable - a grave sin against God and ultimately - apostasy. The Antichrist will "sit upon the throne of human health". Does this come as a surprise to us? We have been warned by the saints. Nobody hears, and hardly any are speaking. Those who do are deemed crazy. The saints have warned: "Your shepherds will sell you out" (i.e. they will encourage you to receive the mark, telling you that it is okay). But before the sealing there is to be the war, after which not many of us will be left.
