Rocks,
You are jumping to false conclusions. I never called LGBTQ people abominations, nor did I say they should have no rights.
Apologies, though you did say that you see homosexuality as wrong and that you don't think gay people should get married.
I do not want sex change surgeons selling their product in the public schools.
Neither do I. It's good thing it isn't happening, nor is anyone encouraging it.
Due to Democrats giving way too much to the LGBTQ community, we lost the House.
No, Democrats lost the House because it's a midterm election with a Democrat as president. The last Democrat to hold on to a majority in the House past the first midterm was Carter. In order for your premise to be true, you'd have to actually point to something concrete that Democrats gave to the LGBTQ community in the past two years. There isn't a lot:
- Biden reversed an executive order banning transgenders from serving in the military
- Biden reversed a policy that allowed healthcare companies to deny coverage to LGBTQ people
- Biden reversed an executive order prohibiting government agencies from offering diversity training
- Biden signed an executive order protecting more people against discrimination based on sex and gender
That was it for 2021(
Source), and I can't recall anything significant for 2022. None of those were real rallying cries from the Right - maybe a bit about the rescinding of the ban on transgenders in the military when that happened, but that was early 2021 and I haven't heard anything since. What Democrats
did do was fight against the flood of discriminatory laws that have been proposed or passed over the past few years. Personally, I wouldn't call that "giving too much". We should always fight against discrimination.
Rather, Republicans riled up their base by creating bogeymen (gay/trans "grooming", drag queen story hour, etc), trying to paint Biden and his family as corrupt, and focusing on inflation. The fact is that the economy isn't doing amazingly (for good reason - massive tax cuts and a global pandemic will have that effect) and Biden is hardly inspiring as a President, so the fact that Democrats didn't lose
too badly is the bigger wonder.
