I'm putting this in the controversial theology forum, only because the source is unorthodox. But I found it a compelling read. For whoever has eyes to see....

Romans 1:20

20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

The revelation extends into modern media - or even science - and it's denial and mockery of Jesus Christ. IOW man knows about Jesus, yet denies Him.
When I was knowingly for the enemy as a Youth,
I was sadly one of those who felt, "It's better to Reign In hell than Serve in Heaven"
Sadly that's all it really is,
People would rather live how the choose than to truly live and experience life the way GOD had intended for us to experience it,
Sadly enough even now I feel as though I'm following more my own way than the LORDs and that bothers me :sigh:

God Bless you brother. I prayed for in another thread, like I pray for now, in that the enemy will leave you, and you will be overshadowed by God's presence in His Spirit. And that you will cry out to God in all praise and thanksgiving, as He delivers you from this oppression. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

(You're welcome to PM me brother, if you feel led, or that it may help)

Even "the best of them" struggled with sin.

Romans 7:21-25

21 I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. 22 I love God’s law with all my heart. 23 But there is another power[a] within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. 24 Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? 25 Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin.

I pray for Pipp@ too Lord, for her mental well-being. It's not easy being apart, yet in You Lord we have our fullness. I pray Pipp@ can have a more fulfilling fellowship near her, but also that you continue to use her as you have been using her so far Lord - in Your name Jesus.

(You're also welcome to PM me Pipp@, if you feel it would be helpful.)

Thankyou...I'm doing a lot better though...once I stopped doubting so much it's like the confusion that's been gripping my brain has cleared. Always best to accept what the Lord shows us, no matter how "strange" it may seem to others.

Can we sin if we are in Christ? IOW we only sin when we are without Christ?

If we are with Jesus, then none of this can touch us. The question is how much are we looking to, following, talking to, and just generally hanging out with Jesus?

They usually change the topic to the ethics of God (hell, the lost, killing innocent.)
I know... I think with some the denial is so strong they would argue with a wall if it declared God exists. ^_^

If Paul could, then there's your answer. God doesn't take away our choice to follow... I think I'm beginning to understand that faith is what is needed to truly believe in the work of the cross and that the chains of sin have been broken already. All we have to do is believe it.

Absolutely! You need to have faith to be in Christ. Therefore, God knows we cannot always abide in Christ and is gracious. It really is by His grace alone, imo.

I'm thankful for you both, as brothers and sisters in Christ. We look to Him as the Author and Perfecter of our faith, and I look forward to the day we will rejoice together in heaven.

I sense there is some doubt in brother J Mick for whatever reason, but I trust the Lord is going to bring him through, and I pray he will praise God in His Almighty ability to save those who believe in Him.

I agree, he is so gracious! I have been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off the last year just trying to "do right", but the more I tried in my own strength, the more I was falling back into depression. I realised recently he's still with me. I've still got so much fear when it comes to surrender....last night I said to my pup when she was barking at a noise outside "don't worry about it, I will protect you." and I immediately got that "softening in my heart", (is the best way to describe it) and the impression that God was saying to me the same thing...because I've always tried to "protect" myself by putting up a wall and all it did was keep me imprisoned in the end. I guess I still find it really difficult to believe God actually loves me like that. Because no one else ever really has...we only have our conditioning to go by, it's part of the battle to be reconditioned with the truth.

I know Pipp@, it really is by the measure of our faith. Look how Jesus said it in just a few examples (Mt. 9:22, Mk 5:34, Lk 17:19, Lk 18:42).

You know, Mt. 9:22 was the scripture I was given by the Pastor who prayed over me (the 2nd time because the 1st I didn't believe I was saved because of the spiritual attack I was continuing to experience). It took me a very long time to "get it" and even now that I do, I still have this "unworthiness" in my mind as to faith that I'm healed, because isn't healing really up to God? But he's been showing me recently the underlying cause of the problem so that's a good thing.

All Glory to God of course, how else are we to come to Him but by faith.
All healing is from God also, and again how, if not by faith?

Doesn't God grant you the ability to be able to exercise your faith and confession?

Like I described the experience in the thread "does Jesus speak to you" post #25 and #71

But not as intense...just like the heart is being softened and impressed upon like play-dough? I really can't describe it any other way with words.

Nobody really is worthy?
I wouldn't let it hinder your relationship though
Like my doubt?
I know what's causing it and I'm working on overcoming it?, sadly I just can't turn it off myself and it's a struggle.
I know the LORDs with me because he continues to tell me he is,
not only with scripture but through fellowship and for this I'm Grateful,
Like tonight, I had a revelation that if it hadn't been for him Blessing me with my kids, I may have never left the occult?
That's an overwhelming revelation.
PRAISE GOD!
hallelujah!!
