How Trump Avoided Disclosing Eight Loans On His Ethics Filings

Six were legally excluded from the filings, which are supposed to give the public an understanding of officials’ finances but are so riddled with loopholes that they offer only a partial picture.

Anyone paying any attention at all knows that Donald J Trump never disclosed his tax filings. Even though the Ways and Means has oversight, the Donald deferring judges delayed the release until this year. The horses have already left the Trump barn, but should be have legislation requiring disclosures from future presidents-elect?

Biden haters might particularly like having the relatives/children have to disclose the intrafamilial loans.

One of those was possibly illegal, one unethical but going forward, should undisclosed loans that could affect presidential actions be mandated to be disclosed? This is for future presidents, not past.

The words are from the article. Possibly illegal and definitely unethical are improper. Given your opinion, we can assume that undisclosed loans pose no problem and the rules should not be changed for future presidents?

No I can defend someone's legal rights without liking them. I may not like someone but if they did not commit a crime they are not a criminal regardless of how much of a snake they may be.

My gosh if we are going to be concerned with unethical and improper we are going to have to apply that to the entire swamp I see many people on both sides that would be guilty of violating standards based on unethical and improper, if those are the standards tell me who in government is not guilty.
