Anyone catch the Trump MAGA rally in Youngstown Ohio on Saturday?

If so, did you notice the flag in the tent covering where he comes out?

This was from a recent rally, see the flag in the background?

You can see the white stars, right?

Now this is from the rally last Saturday.

So where are the stars? Why are they blacked out?

Also notice that in the first picture the light is on the flag from the front and the stars can be seen. On the second photo it is backlit and the blue can be seen but the stars look like as if they were tucked in almost like fancy upholstery and only the blue background is showing.

It likely has a military meaning: in other words it's sending a message, (to the "deep state").

Here is a short synopsis with commentary on the rally and the probable meaning of the flag, (with an image file from the rally). I've heard others say it is called a "no quarter" flag.

There Were No Stars on the Flag at Donald Trump’s Rally. What that Means is…

Uh, but a lot of the military is opposed to Trump's nationalism, so that might be a hard sell.

I did not say it was a message to or for the military. The flag appears to have a military application and meaning.

Thanks daq, I looked it up on military.com and found this interesting.

§10. Modification of rules and customs by President

Any rule or custom pertaining to the display of the flag of the United States of America, set forth herein, may be altered, modified, or repealed, or additional rules with respect thereto may be prescribed, by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, whenever he deems it to be appropriate or desirable; and any such alteration or additional rule shall be set forth in a proclamation.

Yes, I asked my husband a Vietnam vet and he told me what they were taught and about it meaning surrender.

"For those who don’t know what an American flag without the stars means you have to ask someone who's been in the military. The simple answer is surrender.
The American flag without the stars tells your enemy that further aggression on their part will mean total annihilation, complete destruction or obliteration."
Sounds pretty serious.

Thank you, that's enough confirmation for me.

You have very low standards for confirming your views.

According to you a Vietnam vet is not qualified to explain the meaning of a surrender flag? even after it was the same meaning offered in the initial link provided?

What will you do when you lose the internet because of skyrocketing electricity bills due to no more Russian gas and you cannot get to Snopes to feed you your favorite demofacts and troothes?

Always a conspiracy gong in with you people. Maybe one of the lefties
threw black paint him:)

The pictures are real. "Black paint" thrown at him from "one of the lefties" would be the more typical way that conspiracy theories get started. I am also surprised you used the word "black" in such a negative way: perhaps the woke crowd will turn on you now and devour you. Is that another woke cancellation I smell brewing? You are cancelled, returntosender. :D

Some person claiming something on the internet (like "my husband is a vietnam veteran and said") is not strong evidence.

Besides that, what's the point of a "flag code" like "an american flag without stars means we will kill you all if you don't surrender" if you need to be married to a vietnam veteran to know the meaning?

This is just ridiculous conspiracy stuff. Par for the course.

I have known Lulav from the MJ board since about 2014 so it isn't just some stranger on the internet claiming that her husband is a Vietnam vet. This actually makes you look more like a conspiracy theorist: like you are willing to make up anything you can think of to deny the reality that is before you in this thread.

Lulav posted a question about a real event with real images of a real flag with no stars, (or the stars covered up). I responded to her thread and offered an answer. She then informed me that her husband, a Vietnam vet, confirmed the meaning that was given in the link I provided in my initial response. I thanked her and said that the confirmation from her husband, a Vietnam vet, was enough for me.

For some strange reason these simple facts seem to be making some people quite livid: and for the life of me, I do not understand why. Oh well, it isn't going to kill me.

As I said, you have low standards for what constitutes evidence.

Then perhaps you will be encouraged to know that I do not take your opinion of me as evidence for the validity of your claim.

I figured as much. I would have to agree with your bias for that to happen.

It's more like this: stating your opinion of me does not prove your opinion of me is true. You know what that's called, right? What you might be better off doing is to go find out the correct meaning of the flag displayed in the OP at the Trump rally so you can come back here and prove me wrong. Now that would be fresh, new, and exciting, and I'd love to see it if it were true because I'd rather know the truth than be wrong and not know it.

However, I have no reason to believe that the article I linked in my first response is lying about the meaning of the flag with no stars. You haven't even given a reason why someone would feel the need or have a reason to lie about such a thing: you simply labeled it a conspiracy theory and expect me to once again believe your opinion without any evidence whatsoever.

Didn't you already castigate me for believing some stranger on the internet? And yet, as I said, I have known Lulav since around 2013 or 2014 from the MJ board here at this forum. You I have not known, and I do not recall speaking with you at any other time until this thread. Understand? YOU are the complete stranger on the internet who expects me just to believe what you say without any evidence to back up your claims whatsoever.

I don't expect you to believe me. In fact, I would be very surprised if you believed me.

As far as I can tell, an american flag without stars has no assigned meaning. There is no independent internet source I could find that even mentioned this black flag. The only place this popped up was from fringe news sides and reddit posters concerning this specific rally. Some people on Reddit said that it means Trump is still president and he's going to incarcerate all his political enemies. This obviously didn't happen.

I can't link you do the "official meaning" of this color scheme because it doesn't have any meaning. Although I guess it has an official meaning for anyone who wants to believe this conspiracy theory, now. Kind of like the "OK" hand sign becoming a sign of the far right after a hoax story.

And by the way: declaring that no quarter will be given is a break of Article 23 (d) of the Hague convention from 1907. I have serious doubts that the US military has a flag code for breaking international humanitarian law.
