We must love Him, or else we remain lost. Can't love Him unless you believe in Him. Can't believe in Him unless you begin to know Him.
Can't know him without the Holy Spirit giving the knowledge.

That is trust in his atoning sacrifice (blood, Romans 3:25) for the remission of one's sin and eternal life.

It is faith in The Messiah that gives Eternal Life as he is Eternal Life. Trusting in Jesus sacrifice gives no one Eternal Life.

Romans 3:25 disagrees: "God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement through faith in his blood."

Those who are not trusting on Jesus' atonement for the remission of their sin are still in their sins, condemned, and shut out of eternal life.

I'll repeat, simply: we must love God. That is man's very purpose, that which he was created for.
And to love God is to obey him, and to obey him (John 6:29) is to believe in and trust on the person and atoning work (blood, Romans 3:25) of Jesus Christ for the remission of one's sin and right standing with God's justice; i.e., "not guilty," declared righteous with the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ (Romans 1:17, Romans 3:21, Romans 3:24-25, Romans 4:1-11).

So you build a theology around one verse. Not a single mention of receiving God's free gift of Eternal Life but yet you declare this verse is a verse telling a person how to receive God's free gift of Eternal Life.

Try reading The Gospel of John unless one is blinded by satan, i just do not see how a person can miss its clear teaching on how a person receives God's free gift of Eternal life by faith in The Messiah.

I wonder why many are called and few are chosen who cant find it easy, when it is testified the way is narrow ( not easy) which few find

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus IS the gate. He is the narrow way. It's not difficult unless you try to get in some other way.

It is very easy. Our Heavenly Father made it very easy and simple.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Yes, why do so many want to complicate what God made simple?

In the most basic terms for a child to understand, How hard or easy is it to get into heaven?
In other words, Is it easy to obtain salvation or is it hard for the joe shmoes of the world?

It's hard because people have a tendency to do bad things. People act on that tendency. For most people in the world they don't even think they're doing anything bad so they need someone to teach them to do good. That's the purpose of the gospel. Jesus told his apostles to go out in the world and teach people to obey all of the things he had taught them, see Matt 28:19-20. Once someone accepts that and turns from doing bad they begin working their way to heaven.

So do good.

QFT:amen:
It is just my opinion about it, but I think people want to say that it is the hoops they jump through to give/get salvation. They forget or refuse to accept/or to believe that what Lord Jesus did on the cross is the only prerequisite to salvation. Maybe meditation on this verse and asking the Holy Spirit to teach what it means.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Ephesians 2:
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

People like to boat about their own righteousness that does nothing to save. Only the believing in the work that Jesus finished on the cross is sufficiennt to save.

We obey because we love. That's where God wants us. Otherwise we're just back to legalism

Its hard when you do it by your own works. Bible mentions only 3 people who would be saved by their own righteousness.

Its easy when the righteousness of Christ is imputed to you. In that case you have it gifted without your own works.

It is a free gift. Just accepting it is pretty easy.
Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (His name is Jesus).
It is just as easy to be saved as it was to be lost. You were born lost, no effort whatsoever.
Just do it!
"Jesus!"

Yes, if by imputed we mean given to us. Otherwise we'd be unchanged and there'd to be no reason for it to be any easier.

A lot of people think it cannot be as simple as accepting the free gift by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus. But it is.
I think some have a great respect and admiration for intellect, soulish achievement, and hard-earned accomplishments. They may have an unconscious thought that something free is not worth anything. "In order to have worth a thing has to be labored and strived for." This thought carries over into their belief system. One good example is when people say you must repent from all sin before you can be saved. You may as well say you must do a million push-ups before you can be saved. Works are works, and you will never be good enough. You will never successfully repent from all sin before you are saved. You may as well say "you must do all the works of the law before you can believe to be saved." All this is repellant to the concept of salvation by faith and grace. The purpose of the law is to prove that all are sinners and therefore need to be saved by faith. If you could repent from all sin before you were saved, that would serve to prove you do not need to be saved. So just accept the free gift and thank Him for it. Fruits will show up. Good works will occur eventually. He knows how to sanctify you and will do it as you walk with Him.

So we won't overcome sin and yet good fruit will show up anyway. Does it matter at all, then, whether or not good fruit does show up or whether or not sin is overcome at all?
