TellyonTellyon, you've many good Christian responses to consider, but allow me to offer a different perspective. Since you're a self claimed Buddhist confused about what to believe, I'd suggest that you need some foundational research on the religious truth you seek. In other words, knowing God through the right religion comes before learning how to live for him.
I can't be sure what you personally believe, so allow me some leeway with assumptions in suggesting a possible path of truth for you.
The Buddhist faith in general rejects any supernatural god or creator. Thus, to be consistent with this belief system, you must accept the current neo-Darwinian theory of evolution. This may sound easy since most people today do so, but I consider it the starting point for seeking religious truth - determining whether there's a god who created the universe or if everything came about by accidental chance processes?
There's an abundance of books, articles, videos, and information on the web supporting evolution, but I'd suggest that a careful study of the subject from the right sources will show the absurdity of it. This is a big subject, but If you're interested in spending the time, I can recommend 20+ excellent YouTube videos supporting the scientific evidence of supernatural creation over naturalistic evolution. I think, upon watching them, an open minded person would be convinced that there is a god - a supernatural being who created the universe.
Rejecting evolution should be enough to discount Buddhism, Atheism, or any other non-theistic religion, but proving Christianity as the one and only true religion is another matter. Like any faith, this is best done by assessing the foundational scriptures - in this case, the Bible. This is another big subject, but if you're interested in spending the time, I can recommend 30+ excellent YouTube videos supporting the scientific, historical, archaeological, prophetic, and textual criticism evidence for the Bible's authority - suggesting it's Divine origin unlike any other religious scriptures or book in the world.
You can pray, read the Bible, and focus on the scriptures above, hoping that God will change your heart. I think that's very good advice, but if you want to seek religious truth also with your mind, it might serve you well to study some Christian apologetics. Understand, being receptive to such evidence is entirely dependent upon having an open heart and a desire for truth. But once there, I think the mind's intellect helps shape and strengthen one's heart and faith. You can accomplish this in a matter of months, whereas following and pleasing him is a life long process that we're all working on.
