I've worked jobs where only people who had a special sticker on their hard hat could use a phone on the whole job site. You could have your phone but if you were caught talking on it you were gone. I often leave my phone in the car at work because you can get it damaged if you aren't careful and I rarely need to use it and cannot afford a new phone.

I think after next week everyone will settle down. I just have a couple trouble spots to deal with first. I have learned that it doesn’t matter what I say or do, they are going to get mad about it, so I just go back to my office and roll my eyes.

When they do allow phones at work I've noticed that people are on them over an hour a day on the company time

I think the problem is that more and more people think they are entitled to do what they want and at jobs they think that they are "owed" a paycheck and just have to show up and be there to get it and only half to work enough that it shows that they can work. I've checked my phone at the last job I worked at but didn't spend more than about 5 minutes a week on it. I figure if someone can't get by with only using the phone for a minute a day unless it is truly important then it needs to be put away.

I've been using my phone mainly for streaming music (bluetooth) and the camera rarely do I use it to talk to folks.

uh oh.... this could be trouble not sure how much though as there is a truckers strike in Canada and may be some US truckers joining it.

I have been throwing everything up since last night. Hurray for morning sickness- not.

I guess that is better than mourning sickness?

I guess. My staff is getting cranky with me for not being at their beck and call today. I suppose I need to time my vomiting better.

I've found nothing that stops me from tossing my cookies when my innards are out of whack than purposely doing it till it stops essentially emptying my stomach altogether
