The decision was made at a public meeting. Why can’t you get that?

The decision was to encourage deception and to get children to accept things being inserted into them behind their parents backs and to require insurance companies to Keep secrets form [parents as well. Where that decision was made has no bearing upon that.

It was a public decision. It children do not want their parents to know that is their choice.

I heard you the first time and rejected that as a rationalization. I have nothing more to add.

I did read your posts, and what is happening on DC is nothing like what happened in China during Tiananmen Square. There is no comparison.

You don't get what I mean. I didn't say this equaled Tiananmen Square.

I am saying things start small. One step leads to another and another.
If people are so eager to hand over parenting rights to the government it makes it even easier next time they try and take away rights. Tiananmen Square is the ultimate no rights situation after everything has been striped away.
As to the comparison I have heard North Korean defectors and Chinese people living in the US say what they see and hear reminds them very much of what they left.
We in the west cannot be complacent thinking oh never here. It can happen anywhere.

Except this decision was made at a public meeting, not behind closed doors as happened in a Communist nation. You are comparing apples and oranges.

I didn't say it was and you don't understand.

last time I will try.

Any country that starts handing over it's citizens rights a little at a time can find themselves years later in a place with few rights. People gradually allow the government to run their lives. Such a country is ripe for a communist government to take over.

Remove citizens rights
Teach propagander in schools and don't educate children properly.
Its already happening and people who have defected from communist countries to the 'free' west see the signs.

A birth does not start with a birth it starts with labour pains. Handing over rights to a government are labour pains.

Again, rights are not being removed here. It was decided at a public meeting. You just can’t get that.

If a law is put into place that children can be vaccinated against their parents wishes and parents not even informed that they were vaccinated then yes a parental right has been removed.
Every time a right is removed from a countries citizens makes it easier the next time government tries to take away a right.
Nobody can be complacent just because their country is currently a democracy.

Look, there are reasons to be concerned about human rights in Australia. Gillian Triggs' book, Speaking Up, is one I'd highly recommend for some insight into where the issues are, and what a constructive approach might look like.

Allowing more mature minors to choose to be vaccinated, though, is not, for me, something that I'm feeling alarm over as an erosion of rights.

I have trouble seeing the extension of rights to others, as an erosion of rights.
