Someone must be resurrecting the dead, threads that is.
This is a painful subject, though a good example about why we need freedom of religion. People struggle differently. Some are going to be offended at anything and everything related to sex, no matter what, and I wouldn't expect that they can be forced to be otherwise.
Some people are affected negatively by the counter pressure. Children have been castrated over such things. Others, abused, in more ways than one. Religion can be extreme, and extreme things can warp and twist people.
After all my life's experience, what I can say is one shoe does not fit all, and the bare minimum that should easily be the least controversial, is that proper morality requires a modicum of respect for one's neighbor, their privacy and their private parts. As for myself, I know what I find to be harmful and what I believe God has led me to believe on related sensitive subjects, and because of that, I know that we all need freedom of religion to find life and peace, without which, we'd be back in the stone ages of the Roman empire when they were killing christians over trumped up, false charges.
I don't appreciate undue pressure about being married to male spiritual entities, or about transgendered angels. I think it's potentially harmful, and sends the wrong message which was never intended to be preached in that way. I think it's a quirky remnant of Gentile Christian thought, not something I should send my child to sunday school to learn, but I understand that that's not how everyone interprets the same. I'm willing to give respect and allow others to think and believe in ways I believe to be odd, and I expect the same.
