Interesting timing. My daughter (physical therapy doctoral student) showed me the shirt she got because she was tired of the ways guys acted towards her and other ladies in the gym.

I've been nervous about wearing skulls because I don't know if it is evil or not. I used to love all things dark and scary, but now I don't. I threw away my horror movie collection and violent video games. I don't even celebrate halloween anymore because I don't want to be influenced by things that are not of God. But I still would like to wear skulls. The kiddie kind with the bows on them. But I'm afraid I will be representing evil instead of good. Is there any wrong in these kind of skull shirts? The cutesy kind? Or is it still evil? Or does it really even matter? Thanks. Sorry if this is in the wrong category btw.

Do to your past darkness it is almost certainly best to avoid it.

Usually it's the bad guys who are depicted wearing skulls, rather than the good guys. I personally find skulls and skeletons like all that I see during the Halloween season amusing. Along with Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean and the original Treasure Island hotel when I used to live in Las Vegas. And I even have worn a skull ring in the past.

However when it comes to this sort of thing, I think it's always best to go with: "Abstain from all appearance of evil." 1 Thessalonians 5:22

I do not like skulls personally as it reminds me of death.
1 Corinthians 15:26
The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

So I would not pick a shirt with a skull on as that to me would be glorying death no matter how much its dressed up with cute thing. At the same time I am not going to comb through my entire life trying to find those few skulls so I can eradicate them. We can't live in a bubble. So just because you buy some kids bubble bath and realize later there is this tiny pirate flag on it I wouldn't have a conniption about it and fling it in the bin or go through your photo album and cut out every last picture of Uncle Freddie in a t shirt because he has a skill tattoo on his forearm. I think there is a line because you also don't want your focus to be so much on something like this that you drive yourself crazy. You could end up with OCD and not even being able to walk around a shop. I say this because there were numerous things I got a bee in my bonnet about as a new Christian, but I realized later giving these things too much focus is actually giving them power, way more power than they deserve.

Also the belief that we can comply eradicate everything that offends just doesn't work. We still have to live in the world, but a large skull on a shirt that gives you pause is your conscience and you should listen to it.

Also just adding, just because someone else can wear such a thing and feel fine with it or even wear it as a Christian symbol does not mean you can. You have to know yourself and where you are in your faith and walk and nobody but you can know this. There is no one size fits all rule.

Romans 14
14I am convinced and fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean.

This ^^^
There are a lot of things that I don't see a problem with if our society was Christian, but abstain because I don't want to send the wrong message to unbelievers.
