I was saddened to hear of another exorcist who left our ranks. Spanish bishop and exorcist Xavier Novell admitted falling in love and intending to marry a divorced woman. It is reported that she writes "Satanic tinged erotic novels" for a living. Similarly, I know of more than one priest who left the ministry because of alleged sexual relationships with possessed or oppressed women. Is it an accident that these women had a connection to the dark world?

This is sad. One must be so, so careful. In movies, priests often would exorcise in pairs. Is this not thing in the real world? Might it help keep men safer?
It has always been my understanding that they work in pairs for various reasons.

Well, in the first place, if a priest starts to "fall in love" with a possessee, the first thing he should do is withdraw from performing any rites....his objectivity and concentration will be compromised, and you just can't afford to allow that to happen in an exorcism rite---it's way too dangerous. The demonic entity will know what's going on and will take advantage of it, and given the proper level of distraction, can overcome even the most dedicated exorcist. St. Michael, pray for him; pray for her, and pray for all of us---defend us in battle!
