I don't know who this is addressed to but I have come to be able to hear my Master's voice and to trust Him, expecting Him to clarify for me so I hold my condemnation of their claim in abeyance since I have had to change my mind about the leading of the Holy Spirit before.
Well, let's say the other person you are in disagreement with on the meaning or interpretation of any given Scripture passage claims to also be able to hear their Master's voice and trust in Him, expecting Him to clarify for them the true meaning as well. This person is also claiming to being lead by the Holy Spirit, but the two of you hold completely different meaning/understanding of said passage? How would the two of you determine who is correct and who is not? I would hope you would agree, the Holy Spirit can not teach error, so one of you would have to be in error. So the question remains, how do you determine which one of you is?
I'm pretty set in my faith so my usual reaction is, "Hmmm, I don't think so...yet."
Yes, this seems to be a common reaction within this forum among Protestants from the many various denominations and non-denominational sects.
Have a Blessed Day!
