Except it's not a child or a person.

Neither were slaves back in the day. Good thing we eventually got that error straightened out. Perhaps we can do the same today for Mothers (masters) and their own offspring.

I'm certain that if you keep equating mothers with slave owners it will help immensely.

Do children not belong to their parents? Keep in mind that I'm asking on a "pre-woke" basis.

Children are our hope for the future and each should be treasured, nurtured, and lovingly instructed in what will actually make life work right. If we were fish eggs, we could easily relate to there being a large percent waste, but we're talking humanity, individuals made in the image of our Creator, special and distinct from the remainder of creation. Apart from confidence in that (and I'm thankful we put that statement in the founding documents of the USA), there is only a disconcerting relativity, some utilitarianism, mostly from the vantage of people who naturally are self-seeking even with their best attempts to figure out what makes things right and fair. As to fairness, I have a hard time not equating the abortion procedure to that of someone breaking in and taking a machete to a sleeping person in their own home, with the difference being time (age of victim) and legality. So to me there is a deeper concern than whether there is legality involved in the abortion process, and this points to a general darkness and unspoken hopelessness in general. There could be hope if we changed our course.

Considering that 70% of human pregnancies miscarry, one wonders if this creator truly ranks humans any higher than fish.

True stats on miscarriage would be difficult to ascertain, but you might be right. I miscarried my first but never saw him. The grief deepened my appreciation for the ones born. Someone close to me miscarried and the dead baby fit in the palm of her hand. She guarded that dead child until the funeral processor took over, same as I would have for any of my own beloved dead. Human life is precious and well worth the grieving when death's door slams in our face. I am hopeful to meet those children some day.

Their choice to do what?
Their choice is terminating a clump of cells/ embryo. Nothing more. Lets stop pretending a clump of cells or and embryo is a full grown baby. Because it's not.

Funny how those clumps of cells look so much like a baby human, with arms, legs, a head, and even has a heartbeat. Even recoils away from instruments of abortion as if able to feel pain as it's being torn apart.
But if it gives you a sense of liberation to call that a clump of cells in order to ease one's conscience, have at it.

Well it depends on how far along it is in development...

But they don't. And my possible clump of cells would be none of your business. If I terminated.

I'm grateful that my mother didn't view me in that way.

You're describing a fetus, not an embryo.
