JS: Here is a gluten free one. Still I going to read the first one again and see what I can change to make this one better.

Veggieburger

I made these by trial and error. I started with black beans but these required too much prep. I turned to lentils and sunflower seeds originally and used chicken spices to flavor, You can form these and place them between wax paper (I do two at a time). Then freeze and after frozen cover them with aluminum. Thaw before using or cook covered to cook completely.

Lastly, the value of making your own vegeburgers is you control what goes into them.

Place in a blender and chop the following ingredients together. You want it chunky or its will stick like crazy:

1/2 cup ground oat meal or any seed
1/2 cup lentils, cooked
1 pinch salt
1 T soy sauce
1/8th tsp pepper
1/2 small Onion, chopped
1 small mushroom, chopped
1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp marjoram
1/2 tsp sage
1/4 leaf of bay crumbled

Move to bowl and add:
1 egg white (opt)

Enough almond flour to bind the ingredients together (about 1 cu). Form into burgers of the size your want (or to fit your rolls). refrigerate a fifteen minutes to up to hour (or more if covered). Remove from refrigerator and heat an iron skillet till hot. Add enough oil to cover, cook each side 4 - 5 minutes each or till lightly brown. If adding cheese place on burger when turned.

I like mine with saute onions, mushrooms and sweet pepper on the bottom of the roll and mustard on top. Or make a Whopper: Mayo, lettuce, onion, and tomato on top, ketchup, mustard and pickle on the bottom. Makes eight 3 inch diameter vegeburgers. I find 3 inches the easiest to make, larger ones tend to fall apart when they are cooked. Makes ten burgers.

Note: you can cut an onion thinly and place this on top of these burgers as they cook. Then turn them onion and all. The onion cooks right into the burger.
