It looks like the accusers will get their day in court, but for slander and defamation of character, so unless they can prove their charges legally not just by hearsay, they will be found guilty and fined.
That assumes Dominion can pass the motion to dismiss. Despite Giulliani, Powell, et al lying, Dominion is likely going to have to show actual malice, which is a very difficult legal hurdle. A few lawyers I've been following on twitter that have been keeping a close eye on this are a bit split on whether or not Dominion is going to pass this particular hurdle.

IMHO Biden could be the best president the US has ever had and trump supporters will still think he is evil. Biden could lead the US out of the COVID-19 pandemic, he could help the US economy recover from the damage the pandemic did to the entire world economy, he could rehabilitate the US's image and reputation on the world stage, he could repair the alliances that have been so shaken by the past 4 years, he could help make the world cleaner and leave it better for our children and grandchildren, he could be the best Christian example a president has ever been ... and trump supporters will still vilify and hate him for something.
I would personally settle for a mediocre, forgettable presidency.

It's evident that Biden will do these things ...
Trump himself said as much ...

I'm not sure the actual malice standard will apply. It applies to public figures, and I doubt that Dominion counts as that. They only became part of the public awareness because of the alleged defamatory statements. If the courts find that they don't qualify as a limited purpose public figure, then the actual malice standard no longer applies. Remember, the lawyer they retained is a pretty experienced defamation specialist. He wouldn't have taken the case if he thought he didn't have a good shot at winning.

Dominion seems to think it's going to apply to them. Their filings cover actual malice.

Dominion just sued Giulliani for 1,3 billion. Part of the news segment said that in this case, they would have to either prove that he knew the claims were false or that he was reckless with them, in that the claims would be very easy to verify to be false. But I guess we'll see what the standard will be and how it turns out.

If he is pressed under oath on the clams he made in public vs what he argued in court it's going to be interesting to see what he says as he is painted very deeply into a corner. Vein pulsating, eyes bulging claims about fraud in public, this is not a fraud case in court. A competent attorney is going to have a field day with that.

Yeah, I’m intensely curious about some of the recent disappearances...
I am imagining something similar to the Scanners gif or 'eadbang for the 40K lore fans.

That poster doesnt seem to exist anymore. Heh.
It’s sad, in a way. You can tell a lot of Trump’s fans really, truly believed he was going to pull it out, right to the end. Months of them declaring he would stay President, no matter how many times he failed. It was like watching them run into a wall.

They believed with a religious faith.

And that's the problem.

I giggle at the "people worshipped" obama idea after a trump presidency.

Same.

It’s been a long while, but I remember many liberals were actually quite peeved with Obama, especially at the end of his second term. We liked him, but he got plenty of flak from his own party for not being aggressive enough, letting too much slide, and I know - I was one of those people.
