Younger people can learn different languages much more quickly.
The older you get, the more difficult it is to learn languages.
Not at all. What's the connection between being a witness and being a priest????????????
When I said, "So if women were the first notified of His resurrection and tasked with telling others the good news, it's ridiculous to say that they can't be priests", I didn't mention anything about being witnesses. They were chosen to deliver Christ's message to his followers. In case you're not aware, that's what priests do.
I agree entirely with you on this matter. However, others who have been posting have taken the position that because scripture does not specifically state, "Thou shalt not ordain a woman as a priest" it is a perfectly acceptable practice. That, of course, throws wide open the door for anyone and everyone to demand priestly ordination.

None!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We -- all Christians, men and women -- are a nation of priests.
I promise to get back to you when your compilation of those lists is complete. Then we'll see how the two sets compare.
There you go. Your choice of the example of women as witnesses to the Resurrection is not more compelling a parallel than this. And the follow-up doesn't answer the question any better than that did.
In order to really answer the question, line up all the arguments in favor of women's ordination and then line up all the arguments in favor of male-only ordination and compare. It will not be a very balanced creation.
As has happened in the various debates conducted in the general conventions of different Christian denominations that have taken up the issue, the three main arguments FOR women's ordination are: 1) they can do the job, 2) the Holy Spirit has changed his mind, and 3) God loves all of us equally.
In the United States the Catholic Church is having a priest shortage.
The Catholic Church needs women priests.
IWhere do you get that idea? Jesus said:
For they bind heavy burdens that are grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not lift a finger to help them. But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad, enlarge the fringes of their garments, and love the place of honor at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called 'Rabbi, Rabbi' by men. But don't you be called 'Rabbi,' for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers. Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven. Neither be called masters, for one is your master, the Christ. But he who is greatest among you will be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
Mat. 23:4-12
Because of that, I think no priest is ordained by Jesus.
I don’t see any reason why it would need that. I think people need love, caring, wisdom and truth.
Any church that is engaging in worship or doctrine not authorized in scripture is doing so without the authority of Christ. We can hardly be surprised in a fallen and totally depraved world that the church would find itself in error from time to time.
As for women usurping the authority of men by preaching, a woman need not shove a man out of the way to usurp authority. The very act of preaching is an usurpation of authority not granted a woman in scripture. Timothy is clearly speaking about the church, that no woman is to have authority over a man and is to remain silent, ie she isn't to preach.
Preaching is specific to the chuch. Sharing the gospel with people is not preaching. Giving a speech about faith is not preaching. Preaching sermons is an act specific to the worship of God in church. She isn't to preach in Church. She can preach anywhere else. On the streets, to her work colleagues and friends etc
I don't think it does. He's dealing there with two different matters.
In the first one, he's referring to the fact that we are all of equal worth in God's eyes, not ranked by social status, nationality, or anything like that.
In the second, it's about congregational officers (to put it in a clumsy way)--deacons, presbyters, elders, bishops.
There probably are some people, but this is a completely irrelevant matter to the historic churches that do not ordain women.

II don't think women posting Christian blogs is Bibical because of the combination of doctrine and something being on written form is outside the disclaimer of a missionary answering questions or teaching women questions during a church service or a woman leading a youth group
