So he is free to admit he is human? More in authourity should do that for none are free of sin.

The man made his career by condemning other peoples sins.

Now he'll retire in luxury and do whatever he wishes with his ill gotten gains.

The public - even the Christian public - seems to think that the equivalent to a protestant pope, and his family, saying to over 18s or over 21 year olds, "we'll see your education right" or "we'll see your employment right" or "we'll see your political position right" or "we'll see your business right" when they enter into intimate threesomes and other configurations, when those are students, or institutional employees, or trustees, or family members of trustees, or contractors, or resort employees, or staff of political associates, or family members of staff of political associates, is a yawn, because they are not under 16, they are wrong.

There have been reports of anguish, among family members of a number of preachers over the years, and continuing to get ever more frequently of late. Celebrity families don't have a normal standard of relationships, they only take their cue from each others' circle of "trustees" (with a few Top Ten lawyers thrown in). Anyone not the "head" of a dynasty and with a distorted sense of respect is a victim, whether they are actively joining in further victimising others or not. We need an "Evangelical Me Too". I saw the beginnings of something similar which was cleverly kept within a limited scale for business reasons.

This didn't stop in the 1970s, it is all the more fashionable now, due to the effect of body theology.

Also notice this is the way JF expresses (in translated form) his inheritance of his father's illicit racism, the very biggest thing causing anguish in your country.

The dad was photographed in 1967 holding a Scofield "Bible". Every Christian institution has to review their connection with these from Thomas Road downwards. Why would parents want their offspring to study at that sect / cult? Have all other denominations become indifferent to real truths? Just because they consider themselves friendly with black people doesn't mean they get the Scofield out of them because they have messed up my town (and my previous town) big time. Perhaps they are not genuinely friendly with "white" people either, after all.

...a former student of LU claims Becki Falwell groomed and sexually exploited him in her home in 2008.

The former student also believes that Falwell trusted him to keep their secret because “she knew that I cared about her school and the soul-winning aspect. I did not want to corrupt that by any means,” the former student said. “I don’t want that on my back, that I took down the school.”

The man made his career by condemning other peoples sins.

That's an incorrect assumption and slander of the conservative Christian lifestyle.
Or a leader of it.

We have directives that preclude certain activities sure, but we have a lot of positive actions that we do...very similar to the Hippocratic oath of doing no harm.

We don't want to harm anyone or ourselves...or do any damage to God's name by our actions.
Many of the things that they don't allow are things that your average person doesn't necessarily see or understand is not good to do. And if you had listened to why these things are not beneficial to do you might have understood that.
Rules without understanding of the reasons why they exist is autocratic...but that's not what they are promoting. Those in attendance at that University are made very aware of why the rules exist and are there.

Say what you like about your lifestyle, you guys are quick to judge and only seem to forgive your own.

If those of the conservative christian lifestyle walked the walk of what it actually says to do in the bible I would respect you guys. I meet precious few of you who do.

What the heck is this? I'm starting to feel sorry for him.

Earlier that morning, around 2:30 a.m., Bedford County dispatchers received a 911 call from Becki Falwell.

She described being at church around 11 p.m. and receiving a call from her husband, who said he was bleeding after a fall down the stairs. Finding the doors locked when she got home, she used a chair to break through the back door.

The dispatcher asked whether her husband had been drinking alcohol; Becki Falwell said “yes.” When asked if he had been drinking “heavily,” she said, “I’m not going to answer that question.”

The dispatcher explained that alcohol thins the blood and could account for the excessive bleeding, and restated the question.

“The more I tell you the name, the more you’re going to understand why we’re not talking to you right now,” Becki Falwell said.

But medics and emergency responders arrived at the residence later that night. A responder observed lacerations on Jerry Falwell Jr.’s face, including under his left eye, across the bridge of his nose, and above both his right and left eyes. The responder also recorded in a report that Jerry Falwell Jr. said he hit his head on a trash can, and that there was “blood in the area he indicated” as well as “empty alcohol containers.” The officer also noted “Jerry had slurred and slowed speach (sic) and would repeat things already asked.”

Maybe if he and his kin hadn't been so legalistic, he'd have learned to hold his liquor a little better.

Good point. Not ironically, teetotalers tend to get hammered.

Yes, he is not an Archbishop or even an ordained minister, merely the leading bureaucrat of a university he inherited from his dad. By all accounts, Mr. Falwell is practising his sexuality in the confines of his traditional marriage, which would seemingly be fine in their brand of Christian circles: no premarital sex and no gay marriages. A man exploring his sexuality and enjoying all kinds of sexual kinks with his wife and being pretty open about it is not verboten, is it?

In US religious culture, it's considered forbidden. American conservative evangelicals do not have a liberal sexual ethic, unlike some European Christians.

What's worse is that he has made himself notorious for maligning gay people and others that he and his religious subculture deems to be sexual deviants. And cuck fantasies and swinging are considered deviant by the same subculture's standards.

Purity culture does weird things to people.

Taboos are often interdependent with a community's standards. The more a person fetishizes a taboo, the more they will be drawn to it.

Baptists are an especially moralistic mainstream group.
Many have all men or all female small group Bible study.
They were a chief supporter of Temperance laws. They, by tradition, still don't allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages. A deacon in their churches generally isn't allowed to be on a second marriage if the first wife was divorced. A whole host of rules and laws they follow. Not all Baptists subscribe to all the laws and traditions but it still is a generality.

Nazarene church groups and Church of Christ group tend to be even more strict than Baptists...but they are a smaller group in number than Baptists.
I think it's ironic that even Jesus wouldn't have met their standards.

Falwell sues Liberty, saying school damaged his reputation

Jerry Falwell Jr. has sued Liberty University, alleging the evangelical school founded by his late pastor father damaged his reputation in a series of public statements that followed his resignation as president and chancellor in August amid a series of scandals.

Falwell left Liberty in August after Giancarlo Granda, a younger business partner of the Falwell family, said he had a yearslong sexual relationship with Falwell's wife, Becki Falwell, and that Jerry Falwell participated in some of the liaisons as a voyeur.

The lawsuit says Liberty's statements have harmed not only Falwell's reputation but also his future employment prospects and business opportunities. Falwell ... has stopped receiving previously frequent invitations to appear on TV to discuss Liberty, evangelicalism and politics, the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit further alleges that "Liberty's actions are antithetical to the teachings of Christ." Falwell's attorneys charge the university with hurting its own standing and that of the broader evangelical community "by playing right into the hands of sinister operatives with ulterior motives."
