Greetings all.
I'm a newbie here, but have been on forums since probably 2000, with the old Netscape boards, and maybe even earlier, with the aol chatrooms, back to 1997-8.
let's see.... I'm kinda thinking that I'm burned out with forums, but have been addicted for a long time, so prayer would be appreciated.
I say burned out, because sarcasm has become really easy with some of my conversations. Although, I suppose that could also just be old-ER age too.
I've been a Jesus follower since 1977 (A Calvary Chapel post Jesus movement in So. Cal era), and read my bible, and pray daily.
I've been on CARM's atheist forums for the past almost 8 years now, and it died the other day. The scary thing is--- I keep checking it 3-5 times a day to see if they fixed it. Hence, the addiction comment.
I'll carry a conversation with the best of them, but don't really think that argument is a beneficial practice-- 1 Corinthians 2:1-5. I.e., our faith stands on the power of God, not the wisdom of men. And, as Paul says in vs 6 of 1 Cor. 2, I enjoy talking about God's Wisdom. It's pretty cool. A favorite passage of mine, and probably why I got into online chat in the first place is Malachi 3:16-18.
So.... Grace and Peace be with you.
In Christ.
