Jesus speaking ...

Jesus’ Mother and Brothers
(Matthew 12:46–50; Mark 3:31–35)

Luke 8
19Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see Him, but they were unable to reach Him because of the crowd. 20He was told, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see You.”21But He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and carry it out.”

Luke 8:19-21 are about spiritual wisdom. It is acquired by careful listening and can be lost through apathy and inattention. Jesus gegins to define relationships in terms of those who hear God's word and puts it into practice, which matters even more to Jesus than blood relationships (John 7:5)

Obeying Jesus and listening to his voice is what his mother, followers, family and disciples did. I picture then all at the day of Pentecost frightened stiff, with the doors locked, not knowing what was about to happen even after he appeared to many over the period of 40 days after his resurrection. They obeyed him though and knew he would send another. That was Christ's power (third person of the trinity) giving them power to preach the gospel. suddenly their panic/fear was gone and they burst the doors open, preached the gospel in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth.

Oh what a blessed promise to every Christian, that in our distress in this life, Christ will comfort us and give us power to witness for him......only if we're obedient and listen to his voice.

don't get bogged down in theology or tradition, Christ has so much more for you, more than you could imagine.

God Bless and listen to his voice, 'the (Zada) in the rock' a Siloam inscription found in the tunnel of Siloam, dug by King Hezikiah. Our Rock and Saviour Jesus Christ can talk to us if we listen. He talked to the OT patriachs, he'll not change and will also talk to us.........

The Bible never says anyone is a child of Mary accept for Jesus Christ!

And the Bible says Her child is holy! And Her child is God!

Lk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Until only states that they had no relation up to that point, the Bible does not say they had sex ever, before or after that point!

A Virgin in this case is not a maiden who has not had sex, but the mother of God who made vow to God to be a perpetual Virgin! Lk 1: 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

Not before or after Jesus is born! This scripture only makes sense if She made a vow to God, even the promise to be the mother of God and the mother of our salvation would not be acceptable if it meant violating Her vow of perpetual virginity!

Your assertions are offensive to pius ears, and to the Holy Spirit of whom She conceived!

Other children?

They are not the children of Mary!

Is 7:14 a virgin shall conceive and bear a son!

One son, singular!

Janes is the son of zebedee, and the other James is the son of Alpheus not Joseph!

Matt 10

In Hebrew culture any relative can be called brother or sister, lot was called Abraham’s brother but was his nephew, Jose’s, Simon Salome are children of another Mary!

Mary was already filled with the Holy Spirit and is the spouse of the Holy Spirit!

Stop that, Mary is no more than the disciples, or Paul, or even some christians today, it had the great priviledge carry and 'raise' Jesus, but this catholic thing of exalting her this much is not healthy.

Bible says to

Lk 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
Lk 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

what are these great things?

immaculate conception?
filled with grace?
Filled with the Holy Spirit?
Mother of God?
Mother of our salvation?

Esther 5:2 And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.

3 Then said the king unto her, What wilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy request? it shall be even given thee to the half of the kingdom.

Lk 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

St. Esther was chosen by Persian King Ahasuerus to be queen ( Esther 2:16). She had little choice in the matter & later interceded to the king to save her people from the genocidal plot of Haman ( Esther 8:1-8 ). These are qualities that have been traditionally considered as shared by the blessed Virgin Mother. St. Mary also had to flee a genocidal madman ( Herod) ( Matthew 2:13-23).

There are other historical women who were chosen vessels by God for the salvation of Israel like St. Elizabeth who bore St. John the Baptist ( Luke 1:5-25). There is the martyred mother, of 7 martyred sons, & the martyred priest Eleazar from the Maccabees wars ( 2nd Maccabees 7, Bible Gateway passage: 2 Maccabees 7 - Revised Standard Version

These are not the salvation of the Lord Himself ( Ephesians 2:8-10 etc. ) but are the highest examples of the Lord’s salvation. The blessed Virgin Mother is the greatest Saint among these blessed women as exemplified by the virtuous woman of the Apocalypse ( Revelation 12). There are heavenly prayers of saints as indicated in Revelation 8:3. The mysterious ( & influential book among early Christians) book of Enoch attests to this: Chapter 39 | Book of Enoch

The question is: is Virgin Mary mother of Jesus? Is Jesus God? If Jesus is God and Virgin Mary is his mother, why to question?
Because the term "the mother of God" is ambiguous and is doing more harm than good (for example people praying to her or thinking she has some special authority over Jesus).

We pray to her because she pray to God for us.

I can also pray for you, it does not follow you should pray to me, because of that.

But she is very close to God in heaven. While we are on earth. Even if we was in heaven we will be counted as dead, and she is saint. We can pray to saints and angels but not to the dead.

This is just a baseless fantasy.

Neither Jesus nor apostles gave her any special position inside the church or in heaven.

Is Mary the mother of God?

No, she was the mother of his human body, the flesh that Jesus took on. God has no mother, he is from everlasting.

John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

All things were created through Jesus including Adam and Eve who we all, including Mary, are descended from.

Mary was a woman who found favour with God and was blessed by God.
Matthew 1:18
Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.
God the Holy Spirit caused her to be pregnant.
