No, these diseases infect people because that is what viruses, conditions, and bacteria, etc. do - they just do it. Not out of some evil inclination, it is just the nature of, well, nature.

Thanks for your thoughts Steve. I tend to agree with you, but our Heavenly Father is a hands on Parent, Who will not hesitate to get our attention if He thinks necessary.

Thanks for your comments St. Steven. Acts 7 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. I agree with most of your thoughts, Covid 19 is purely political in some ways. After the election, the whole thing will go away.

Covid 19 is not a sexually transmitted, or related, disease.
It doesn't target those who have lead a certain lifestyle; Christians, non Christians, married people, single people can get Covid 19.

It's not just America that has Covid 19 - China, Spain, UK, Germany, India and many other places have it too.
It's not just people over 70 who have died from this, young mothers and younger adults have too. Being over 70 and having it doesn't make it inevitable that you will die. I know a 90 year old who has just recovered.

I guess it's safe to assume you didn't like my post. How's everything else in jolly old Brittania?

I wouldnt be so quick to dismiss this idea.

NY has about 430k cases now and the three states above them have about 1.9 million cases combined. Yet NY has more deaths than the top three states combined. For a long time I could not wrap my head around this. However NY was one of the first hit with the outbreak...NJ as well, which also has an abnormally high death rate pre those infected... It seems logical that it was the treatment doing the killing and not the virus...

By what I know, God has not told it is from him. Also, those who really die to Covid, could have died also to some other similar disease. Even without Covid lower respiratory diseases have been one of the most common reasons for death in U.S.

Now it seems those Chronic lower respiratory diseases are counted for Covid. And this leads to the question, if we would say Covid is from God, why would those other reasons not be?

Because Covid is used as an excuse for totalitarian acts and for to give vast amount of money to some, I think it is more likely human invention. If it would be from God, I believe it would hit especially world leaders.

But, I think it is good, if this leads people to think, have they done something wrong and if they regret and repent.

It depends what part of jolly old Brittania you're talking about.

Some places have had a rise in Covid cases; a couple have had a further lockdown. Wales and Scotland are making their own rules about wearing masks, when schools go back, etc. There's been chaos, for some teens, over exam results. And football and cricket, which had been gloriously suspended for a few months, are back

We've also had some pretty full on weather, for us; oppressive heat alternating with downpours and storms.

If we look at a little current history we see that in the 1930's & 40's we were pretty much a God fearing, Bible reading, Church going nation. After World War 11 ended our GI's came home to their wives and girlfriends and made of for 5 years of missing hoochy cootchy. What? Never mind, suffice it to say there were babies everywhere.

Then came the 1960's and America changed radically as the baby boomers became of age. The bane of Western Civilization was then invented, the birth control pill, and we were off to the races, sexually. Girls no longer needed to worry about getting pregnant; their biggest concern was how short they could make their miniskirt without getting kicked out of school.

Everyone my age remembers "free love" but there was nothing free about it. Oh yeah, let's not forget about drugs and the Rolling Stones. "Sympathy for the devil?" I think not. So, sex, drugs, and rock & roll were everywhere and America and the world has not been the same since. A favorite bumper sticker at the time summed it up: Ass, gas, or grass; nobody rides for free.

So, being a true baby boomer (1947) I remember it all very well as we went from God fearing America to Psychodelic America in record time. That said, we know that we will reap what we sow and that our Heavenly Father is patient, very patient. All I can say is, Covid 19 has gotten a lot of baby boomers, so I thought I would post this to get some thoughts of others.

"All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

God has already judged the world. The verdict was guilty. The penalty was death. Jesus Christ took it all. There is none left for us to take. The sins of the world were forgiven at the cross. God is not judging baby boomers. If baby boomers are dying at disproportionate rates, it is because they have been subjected longer to this terrible sick care medical system that knows little about true health. When all you have for people is prescription medications and surgery, rather than nutrition and lifestyle change, anybody who has been subjected to that for 70 years is going to be more vulnerable to disease. It is not the consequence of some sin God is no longer counting, it's the consequence of not taking care of oneself, in general, for a lifetime. Grace and Peace.

I am thinking this is satan and his kingdoms (of the world) using his science and governments to set people (especially the children and youth) more onto a trusting of science and government. And showing the weakness of the church now. By using the same institutions that many churches have embraced, government, science and media, to shut down the churches.

This may be the beginning of the down fall of the church in america, for the simple reason that the church fell into line, and under rule (of the gov) very easily. The kids are watching, the question is what will they think of churches as they grow older.

Even if many Boomers are or were genuine Christians, I wouldn't be surprised. Look what happened to King Asa in 2 Chronicles 16, as well as with Annias and Sapphira in Acts 5:1-11. These 3 were all God fearing people.

I also am friends with many nurses and dr.'s who still work in the hospitals and they all think you, and people like you, are not only not informed and believing a lot of drivel---but put people in jeopardy with their selfishness and arrogance. We will all have to give account for our actions. I do not want to be accused by God of making anyone sick, much less cause their death because I'm too self-centered to even wear a mask. God knows what is going on, and who has done things to help others, and who has done nothing to help anyone but themselves. Jesus was all about others.
