More than just mere giants, we should watch out for hybrid creations. The giants of old were only part of the ungodly spawns resulting from the intermixing of the seeds of man with other entities.

The interface of A.I. with the human brain was being discussed back in 2002, and now 22 years later is reality. As knowledge doubles every 12 - 18 months now, depending on how that's calculated, these beast machines & cyborg monstrosities will become more mainstream. Once nothing but science fiction, they are absolute reality:

I mentioned this previously elsewhere. Satan is the master of semantics. Oftentimes the truth is right before us and we're clueless. Eugenics is the smoking gun. You're looking at a bloodline. What is the benefit of preserving certain qualities and how would it relate to hybrids?

Since you mentioned chimeras. Have you ever considered dinosaurs along those lines? Whenever they're depicted in films they're hostile to humans but notice the difference in the garden. Was the ice age their undoing or something else?
