Hi
@Nikki Lynn,
WELCOME TO CF I'm glad you found us & decided to join in the discussions
, and I look forward to seeing you out on the other boards around this place too
Like you, I grew up in the church too (and I loved it, for the most part anyway). I was baptized as an infant, went to Sunday school, sang in the children's choir (and later the adult choir), was confirmed, went on retreats, you know, the whole 9 yards. So, I always believed myself a Christian (why wouldn't I have), until the day I finally became one, that is, two months after my 30th birthday, and WOW has everything been amazingly different since then, PTL
So I know what you are talking about
As for being saved from the moment that we first believe/come to saving faith in Jesus, and that we receive eternal (not probationary) life from that moment as well, I agree with you, and so does the Bible .. e.g.
John 5:24, 6:37-40, 10:27-28, Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 5:13; Jude 24-25
God bless you!

1 Thessalonians 5
23 May the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body
be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
