Are these Christian headcovers good?

Well this certainly answers a lot of questions. I am not married, I was attempting to follow Scripture- I was wondering if it was a cultural issue, however. Thanks! :) God’s Blessings.

My advice is if you feel called by God to wear a headcover do so and do so with pride. Noticeable or not.

If you are doing so to fit in at a church that does, and you feel called to be there, than wear something similar to what you see the other women wearing.

If you don't feel called to and are only doing so because someone said you should, but you are uncomfortable doing so, then don't wear one.

Just ordered one :) plus a lightweight black square scarf. It’s summertime, so I needed some more lightweight ones.
Wonderful! I’m hoping to order mine soon. :) I hope you enjoy it!

I really want to get into head covering of this fashion. I think it's gorgeous, and the ones in OP are lovely!!!
Oh thank you! I can link them if you’d like. It makes women look godly! Of course there isn’t a certain covering for Christian women. :) I think they look lovely too.

The other thing about these kinds of scarves, for better or worse, is that they look less overtly "religious." They "cover" more than any other option, but many people will see them just as a fashion statement (except the old ladies, who will tell you how wonderful it is that you're wearing them).

On our campus, they would identify you as Muslim.

Really?? There is a distinct difference between those and a hijab, not to mention that they typically aren’t worn all the time, just during services. Even the Muslim sacred texts specify a difference between the Christian headcovering and their requirements.

Most Muslim students and staff don’t wear a hajib. They cover their hair in more or less the manner shown in the second picture of post 2

Interesting. The Muslim women I know do wear a hijab, so I haven’t seen the same similarities in person. Looking online though shows the same thing you are saying (some with what I’ve seen and some with what you have seen).

Considering what you are saying, it sounds like it may be difficult to distinguish between Jewish, Muslim or Christian women (at least for Jews or Christians that wear traditional / early wrap style headscarves outside their respective places of worship).

I see that and think Catholic. Some on the first page covering more solidly and I would think Muslim. I don't know that we have any type of Orthodox church where I live so that is why I would not think to that, but certainly not Muslim for a small lace type covering.
To me black says mourning, I like the white, something like that, that looks more like a scarf. Evintage Veils~ So Soft Vintage-Inspired Lace Head Covering Kerchief Tie-style Head Covering Church Veil White or Black
But I am not Orthodox.
This place has a huge range, this is nice too Head cover,Triangle cotton crochet kerchief with ties, Church Veil for girls and women, headband, head wraps, bandana (Pattern available) Unless it is too small.https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/711...h_query=church+veil&ref=sr_gallery-1-45&col=1

Yea I thought that about the black to lol. Although that’s the color of my hair so it wouldn’t be a “look at me” statement. And with the heavy scarf style, I do not want people to look at me and see “muslim” I want them to see “God fearing woman” and “saved by Christ”. Those coverings you posted look gorgeous but my wallet says otherwise... xP

I think #6 would answer the requirements nicely.
For most women who "cover", part of the reason that they do so is to conceal as much of their long hair as is possible, so that it's beauty won't be a distraction to men sitting nearby.

(Yes, there are many men who admire long hair on a woman, these days because it is so unusual!)

A second reason to cover is to enclose the head under a concealing veil (so as to be able to focus one's thoughts on God), and to shut out the distracting views of one's neighbors in the pew.

do women with shorter hair near to cover? mine is mid lengh- reaches my chin.

I agree with Hedrick. My first thought was that this style, outside a church building, would be instantly decoded, not as fashion or not-religious, but as Muslim.

Perhaps it depends where you live and the "flavour" of the local Muslim community (and of the local Orthodox community), but certainly that would match what I observe in my context.

(It is, as an aside, also why I don't tend to wear scarves or head coverings as fashion, in general, because I know that will generally be "read" as Muslim).

I've definitely seen Muslim women wear hijab very close to that in appearance. And there's enormous diversity in styles of hijab. This photo, for example, is of a woman identifying as Muslim:
