I did something different for supper. I put pork chops in sous vide for about three hours at 133 and then finished them on a very hot charcoal grill. Mrs. and I thought they were awesome.

I am a huge sous vide fan. I don't have a fancy set up, just a mid-range model and a stock pot wrapped in an old bath towel. It serves us fine nonetheless. Pre water bath, I seasoned them with pepper, garlic powder, and Himalayan salt. I probably had a minute and half on each side one they were on the grill. I think you would like it.

It is coming back. I think it will be fine, just lost the first few stalks.
As for a sous vide, mine is an Instant Pot brand from Kohls. I think you would be all in for <$100. I just use Zip Lock bags rather than vacuum bags and it seems to work fine.

Rainy and gray today. I finished setting up my new exercise bike. I took a spin just 21 mins on hills. It felt good to do cardio again. I wanted to get the Concept 2 rower but they suspended production due to the virus pandemic. They are taking names for a waiting list.

I've been walking progressively longer. Adding a block every week. I got a really good work out today--it was a beautiful day out. Nice to get outside and see the prettiest flowers and birds.

I got 8 catalogues in my box today. The most I ever get is one, maybe two. I never did get my insurance bill. So, I just sent a payment in with one of my old bills (crossed off the old date and put the correct date in).

I just found out our county declared a state of emergency today. We have about 1,025 cases in this small county. We have more cases per capita than any other county in the state.
