Hey look, another one of your bogus equivalencies between Obama and Trump. I guess since you couldn't back up your claims about Obama's supposedly-lurid private life, you've retreated back to something slightly less ridiculous.

But no, Obama didn't pat himself on the back nearly to the degree that Trump does. In fact, I can't think of anybody I've ever known - in public or in private - who does it as much as Trump. It's like there's something wrong with him.

The claim that Obama was more of a narcissist than Trump is obviously false, but it's par for the course to see that post.

Heavy on claims, empty on evidence.

Again and again.

It should be a reportable offense.

You are too educated to be president?

Too educated to support the current one, it would seem.

Unfortunately the presidency has no aptitude test or entrance exam; a person can get the job without being capable of doing it.

Not sure what your first comment means but the "test" is, do they have enough going for them to get elected. Are they smart enough for the voters, and it's at least clear to me, Trump was.

Sure he did, but constant pounding like that over the years can create confusion in the best of us. And this was a very quick reaction then it was realized. I simply don't blame him for these things at all.

In the end It's way off base to think he would downplay something he knew was a terrible thing like that. What do some of you people think, that he did that on purpose, knowing it was a real problem? Well of course you do.

If so, seems to me it isn't Trump with the real problem. Geez Loueeze.

Except he had intelligence and army briefings while the news outlets were mainly still covering the impeachment hearing. The dems offered money to prepare and was told the funds they already had appropriated was sufficient. Of course he doesn't speak will of our intelligence agency unless it is telling him something he wants to hear.

Army Warned in Early February That Coronavirus Could Kill 150,000 Americans

Reporting From Feb 25:

Sen. Mitt Romney (Utah), the only Republican to vote for Trump’s impeachment earlier this year, also harshly criticized the administration.

“I’m very disappointed in the degree to which we’ve prepared for a pandemic, both in terms of protective equipment and in terms of medical devices that would help people once they are infected,” Romney said.

Democrats have pushed for weeks for emergency funding, but Azar had previously taken the position that no new funds were necessary. Democrats said the $2.5 billion request that came Monday night was inadequate, and they faulted its lack of details and cost estimates.

“They should have made this request three weeks ago when a lot of us were begging for it,” said Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee. “I worry that it's both too little and potentially too late.”

As I understood it, Trump said the virus was fake news at first and as much fake news as he has encountered against him, it was perfectly reasonable for me to think him saying that was completely understandable.

IOW The dems/media cry wolf so often people stop taking them seriously, and then they blame people for not taking them seriously the few times they are.

To maintain the analogy, you're forced to concede that the Dems/Media were right this time, and that Donald really did drop the ball.

I'm impressed.

I don't fault DT for not knowing how to do something. The problem is when he won't call in the people who do know, and take their advice. We have lost tons of talent and experience over the past 3.5 years. They haven't been replaced. Acting heads of agencies so he can control and not have to answer to folks. No one who values their reputation want to get within 100 miles of the WH and we all suffer for it. His supporters may end up suffering most of all.

Don't worry about it, then.

but the "test" is, do they have enough going for them to get elected.

That's marketing and self-promotion; not governing.

And to Donald's credit, he is a whiz at self-promotion.

Are they smart enough for the voters, and it's at least clear to me, Trump was.

Are claiming that the voters chose Donald for his intellect?

Donald, like many insecure narcissists, needs constant reassurance that he's as great as he thinks he is. Such people don't suffer correction or rebuke, and are quick to replace "people who know" with "people who will tell him he knows it all."

His supporters may end up suffering most of all.

We all may.

Seems to me nothing was forced, I asked for the information, and the information shows the opinion of a few people. So, yeah man, you got me there, but what you got ain't much. lol

I'm claiming just what I claimed, please look again.

They chose him period so...

Actually, I can't dignify your silly question any further.

It really is a strange line of reasoning if you stop and think about it.
It is only strange if you've ignored the last three years. I mean, the administration and its defenders started off by lying about how many people came to the inauguration (both crowds and people with Russian money for Donald). The pattern's been there for years - it would be strange to expect something different at this point.

Never mind that China simply stopped testing people so they could say they had no new cases.

The US isn't exactly testing everyone either.

But in any case, a weak argument that maybe we're not the worst doesn't really do much to prop up the idea that Donald didn't screw this one up.

This presumes that defenses of Donald need to be consistent, either with the facts or with each other. I'd say the evidence for that idea doesn't rise to the level of statistical significance.
