(Orthodox) Retirement?

I think it's important that we live responsibly and with sacrifice throughout life, not just in retirement. For me, I have been taking gobs of money out of my paycheck since my children were babies. I have $13,000 saved up for each child at this point....and counting. I have paid $1,400 a month for over a decade for my 3 kids to go to private Christian school. I have spent tons of $ in gas money to drive up to my Orthodox parish an hour away. I have given to charity and I don't keep a lot of what I make.

So....in retirement and in coming years, I plan on enjoying a few bucks for myself.....and I will continue to help my kids with college, whatever they need in adulthood, etc.

I think there is a balance to be had. I've sacrificed a ton....
