Your point?
They did not immigrate, they migrated from Asia. That's not the same thing, especially considering the whole immigration means moving from one country to another country, they were not moving to another country as there was no country, nation or state to emigrate to.

“Everyone immigrated to the United States at some point in their family history."

Really? Does that include my Native friends?
Yes, really. Homo sapiens didn’t originate on this continent.

Lmbo, why on Earth did you write this David? Did you read what was posted in the OP?

Aren't you from Ecuador & trying to go to college in the US? Don't know if you have any intention at all to serve the US in any capacity or what your motives are exactly for wanting to come here. Lt. Col. Vindman came as a toddler, worked his butt off serving the US while folks like Donald Trump sat on their butts serving themselves. Hill is right.
I was commenting mainly on the statement. I don't know him so I cannot give any opinion.

Well, their family history goes back to Siberia some 13,000 YBP.

That's something people don't thinknow about: the conflict of groups

I think that it should be made very clear to immigrants that we expect them to leave their misogyny, their racial, their ethnic, their religious and all other hatreds behind them. We don't need Catholics and Orangemen beating each others' brains out on the street. Ditto for all the other irrational conflicts.

I read somewhere that 20% (something like that) of people coming from Latin America were antisemitic so it seems that is an issue.

Canada has roughly 1/0th the population of the USA but we accept about twice the number of refugees plus a large number of immigrants. They are integrating rapidly and contributing to make Canada an even better nation. There are the occasional problems to be sure but they are few.

It is from the original article
Well having heard the source live this morning, I can tell you there's some extra bits the article cut out which would have answered your question.

.....is it right to question's people loyalty who are not born in the United States?

Dr Hill, in her opening remarks today, recounted how as the daughter of poor English coal miner, she came to the US and ultimately served as a foreign policy professional under three Presidents.

Lt. Col Vindman had a similar story.

That is the America that we celebrate...is it not?

It's what we ought to but nope in 2019 America many folks celebrate what Donald tells them to celebrate, they boo & hiss when Donald tells them to.

But last I looked Canada wasn't giving away the farm to them like the US does.

And when Don loses the election and tells his followers to take up arms against the 'false vote'?

Most of his followers are like him, yelling out threats online while sitting on their butts. I doubt many will take up arms. But you don't need many to cause harm. He's already inspired right-wing lunatics to send bombs, shoot the innocent. So it is indeed a concern.
