I am very productive at work and always do my best, as I work for God and not for men. However it's also a two way street. Employees should also be treated with fairness and integrity. We are not machines or mere robots that produce output, but human beings with feelings and emotions as God has created us. My work is toxic and has affected my mental health - for 4 years I have endured and practiced patience. Have you ever been in a toxic work environment?
Perform as well as you can and leave it at that. If the boss does not accept your output then you may be replaced. If not, then carry on as well as you can, and let the boss not accept your output, even though the boss keeps you employed. In other words, stay with principles before personalities.
Toxicity is letting your personality clash with others. If one stays with what they know is their current capacity, then one also knows that they have done as well as they can, and can be happy with that, regardless of what the boss or others personalities think. You Christian integrity remains intact.
When you are patient, you are no longer struggling with differences and issues. If they are still there, then one is still impatient. Patience is easy, because one basically waits, and how do we wait, we do nothing. In other words, we do not struggle with differences and issues.
There is only one right way, and that is the way of Truth. That is to allow Christ (The Truth) 'touch' you with honesty of consciousness. To stay with your own truth, regardless of what issues other people have. In that 'honesty' you know that you are okay, regardless if affected by mental health. In that okayness, nothing can touch you except Truth. There is no toxicity, until you let someone else's issues become your own.
Have I been in a toxic work environment? Yes, and it was a hard lesson to realize that I was already prone to toxicity due to my one issues about people, places, things and situations.
