I've just signed up here as it doesn't seem I'll get much spiritual nourishment out of facebook.

My testimony would take up pages, but I'll say here I came back to faith around three years ago, and my accepting Jesus as saviour was as big a surprise to me as it was to those around me. Life has completely changed since then, and I won't be looking back. The Lord makes the best plans.

Looking forward to taking part in some good discussions, or maybe just lurking and reading what others have to say.

From acenic Scotland! Remind me of the m9vie T2 Trainspotting.
Heh, I haven't seen that myself, only got around to watching Braveheart earlier this year. But if it showed our beautiful scenery, then I think that's good :)

Welcome Uriah & being spiritually born again from above by God through the Spirit is making us ALIVE to God & we have eternal life. What a difference, like day and night. I played the game of churchianity & was baptized as an infant, went through catechism & even read through the whole Bible. But I didn't know Christ.

It was only by His mercy & grace that I began to study the bible, was convicted of my sins & turned to Christ to save me. It was then I became a Christian, spiritually born of God & able to know Him. I have never looked back now for almost 50 years, continuing to walk in the light & in fellowship with the Lord.

Develop the habit of daily devotional time with the Lord, seeking His face. Let your hunger and thirst for Him & righteousness fill you & satisfy you.

He is our life! He is our resurrection. He is our Lord! He is our Savior & the Savior of the world. He has the words of eternal life, to whom else would we go?

Amen Brother.

I was brought up in churchianity, Presbyterian but technically Lutheran, christened and confirmed. But when life started throwing big questions at me, I didn't have answers, and fell away from church. Many years of seeking followed, and as if by chance I stumbled upon a new understanding of the resurrection and its significance. Everything changed, including moving 400 miles across the country to start anew. I go now to a Baptist church, and was full-immersion baptised last year, though I couldn't tell you exactly what makes a baptist a baptist, and neither do I particularly care. The church is not a building, or a mission statement, or a declaration of faith. Followers of Christ, we are the church. The enemy does not fear a building, but fears unity among the faithful.

Amen, brother! Let us stand side by side!

Phil 1:27,28 Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a clear sign of their destruction but of your salvation & it is from God.

'Let us stand side by side for the faith of the gospel!'
