This is all true and makes an excellent point.

However.....if we make it about "those who make the 'right' choice" win salvation....and those that make a bad decision lose and are punished and tormented for all eternity.....isn't that about their deeds? Their choices? And NOT God's grace?

Isn't it boasting to believe "I made the 'right' choice"?
No one "wins" salvation either according to the scripture. They either believe with Faith in Jesus or they don't.
You really have no idea what the Bible actually teaches or what a believer believes.

No , because you don't admit what you've said. It's getting quite tiresome.
so no point in any further dialogue with you as I said before.
You stated previously "feeding the poor etc...was the way to eternal life" as Jesus taught
What's tiresome is that I keep explaining that's not what my point was, but you keep repeating the misrepresentation. Readers can see what's been posted. It's all there for everyone to read. I welcome no further dialogue (but will correct your misrepresentations of my posts).

Is this a jab at the image in my avatar?
This illustration isn't suggesting that Mary will crush the head of the serpent (notice that she is pregnant with the Lord?).
I think your avatar is fantastic! I may order a print of that. Theotokos.

The four Gospel writers are the icons on the pendentives supporting the dome which has the icon of Jesus Christ Pantocrater; this is a visual demonstration of Christ as ruler of all, and the importance of the Gospels (and Holy Scripture) in the EO.

A consuming fire.

It burns up the chaff, the wicked, the evil ones, and all that is temporal/ perishable.

Those who burn up in the lake of fire are destroyed according to Scripture; they don't receive eternal life.

Please read First Corinthians 3:15 again. The chaff, tares, wood, hay and stubble are burned up, but the person is saved as through fire, but suffering loss, for they could have had gold, silver and precious gems.

Lol! I am not struggling at all.
You promote a false gospel, & have been confronted with the words of Jesus, but you ignore them.
Seems you really don't even know what the Bible states about the Gospel,
or it's irrelevant to you.
Resorting to only insults is not much of a support for your assertions.
Typical of them.......

This is exciting info.

God is potentially a saviour but is not Saviour? Good grief!

Again, "only" is not "especially"!

Dear drowning man: cheer up a potential saviour is standing by

I recognize a false dichotomy when I see one. Yours, here, is glaringly apparent. It does not follow that because God is not a Saviour to some, that He is not a Saviour at all. A gun has the potential to shoot bullets but if the gun is never used to shoot bullets is it not, therefore, a gun, or unable to shoot bullets? Obviously not. In the same way, God's capacity to save is not contingent upon how much that capacity is exercised.

Odd, that you think so, for my impression of Fine Linen is of a man who has a very deep understanding of the Scriptures, and not just the surface layers...I see the Word as an ocean, and the best of us have only dipped their proverbial toes into it.

And how do you judge this, exactly? What constitutes the "best of us"? How do you know how far they have dipped into God's word?

Have you considered that your theology clouds your understanding of what Fine Linen (and other) has to say?

I think, rather, that it exposes the falsity of FineLinen's peculiar notions about God's punishment of the unrepentant wicked.

I don't see any verse in this collection of yours here that says anything about Sodom and Gomorrah suffering merely the destruction of the "old man." Paul wrote in Romans 6 about the spiritual co-crucifixion of the born-again Christian believer with Christ. How this state of affairs extends to the destruction by divine fire of the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah you have failed to explain. These cities are not at all in view in Paul's comments in Romans 6, so I'd be interested in seeing how you twist them to make them apply to what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah.

And the grumbling Israelites God incinerated? How do any of these passages you've offered have anything to do with them? How does the co-crucifixion of the post-Calvary born-again believer have anything to do with these complaining Old Covenant Chosen People God burned to a crisp? Well, it simply doesn't. Which is why you've trotted out a series of passages without any explanation or rationale for how they address the questions I asked you.

And you are NOT?:

I have Never claimed a " works gospel".
I have been stating what is in the Bible that this thread denies that not all will be saved.
We must repent & believe with Faith in Jesus is the Christ who paid the ransom for sin.
There is no universal salvation for all, there is no good works that can save , it is only by repenting & believing with Faith in Jesus Christ so the gospel is conditional on the individual's belief and faith in Jesus & being baptized of the Holy Spirit as it is written in the scriptures.

Mark 16:15
"15 And HE said unto them, " Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.…

Ephesians 2:8 "8 For it is By grace you have been saved through FAITH, and this is not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.…"
