90% of the time I ask for a citation it is to find out if the post I am requesting info on is either actual fact from a substantive source or a POV. (Opinion)

I Place impetus on sustainable fact, and take opinion with a grain of salt.

Same here. I think it is a sensible approach out here in internet land. It allows us to asses the source of information and track down how accurate the info is likely to be.

Raising a lot of money doesnt mean any election is won. In 2016, hilary raised more dough than trump.

QFT

But it is also an indication of the persons strength. It doesn’t guarantee any specific outcome.

Well....she did win more votes...?

Not the ones she knew would determine the winner.

Its sort of like, a football team that lost on the scoreboard, claiming they gained 400 yards during the game, while the team that beat them, only gained 300.

Both sides knew the race would come down to 5 or 6 states and that is how they campaigned. Running up popular votes in heavily populated states like california, where the other candidate made no effort to get votes, is meaningless.

On the down side, you risk learning something which goes against one's preconceived notions of how the world it supposed to work.

True, though I don't consider that a downside so much as a consequence of being human. ;)

I mean s
Hope and change or fundamentally transform the US or O- BA-MA something like that. And Obama had his own personal flag with his own personal symbol on it. Now there's humility.
I've never seen the Obama flag either - when and where did he fly or sell it?
