I guess I don’t get this either. What is your point?
My point is that the Gospel isn't about going to heaven, but having a meaningful life. Gentiles lived without hope, far from God. The Gospel puts us in union with God so that what was promised to Abraham could be fulfilled and Gentiles could also become blessings to the world.
Galatians 3
17
4He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
Why forget this link to the Gospel?
Israel was given the vineyard to bless the world. They never did it, so the Kingdom was taken from them and given to others.
What is the blessing, the rent which the landowner came to collect? Followers of God. Instead the Jews traveled far and wide and made: Followers of Judaism. Who turned out to be even bigger devil's than the Jews themselves. They wanted to kill the Son so that they would keep getting more of their own followers, stealing the inheritance from the Son.
Matthew 23
15Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
Matthew 21
38“But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’
39“They took him, and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
40“Therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine-growers?”
41They said to Him, “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end, and will rent out the vineyard to other vine-growers who will pay him the proceeds at the
proper seasons.”
What is the kingdom? The ability to do wonders so that blind can see and the sick are healed. Spiritual sickness. In the process the sick Jews are made Followers of God, so that they can in turn make Gentiles followers of God.
Matthew 13
2Now when John, while imprisoned, heard of the works of Christ, he sent
word by his disciples
3and said to Him, “Are You the Expected One, or shall we look for someone else?”
4Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and report to John what you hear and see:
5theBLIND RECEIVE SIGHT and
the lame walk,
the lepers are cleansed and
the deaf hear,
the dead are raised up, and
the POOR HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM.
6“And blessed is he who does not take offense at Me.”
When great works are done, doesn't the boasting boast of God? What did Rahab say? We heard that God is with you. What did Nicodemus say? No one can do these things unless God is with them...
I've given you two examples of how, when God is revealed in the speaker, Followers of God, the rent from the vineyard, harvest, is collected.
