Thanks Jonaitis I like the idea that I got it wrong.

Devin, rest your doubts in the words of Jesus: "It is finished" (John 19:30). What is there left of sin that can condemn you? It is finished. Where? At the cross. How? Jesus bore our sorrows and our pain. He is the one who appeases divine wrath against our sin and guilt, and through him we have peace with God, because it is finished.

That sounds good. Thanks.

The sinners prayer is a guideline, it can go something like this: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying for my sins, please forgive me for my sins and help me follow you all the days of my life. I accept you into my life and I will follow you all the days of my life.
I suspect you have already committed to follow the Lord, but that is the sinners prayer although some may word it a bit differently.
Keep in God's Word, and you will grow. Fellowship with other Christians so you can grow in the Lord. You cannot earn salvation, it is a free gift! Because we love Jesus we will do things that bring Him glory. God bless.

Father, may people realize that You want them to go to Heaven, and that Jesus is the way, John 14:6. May they apply the truth and directions of John 1:12-13 and Romans 10:9-13. Let us not leave out repentance, Luke 13:3. Let us remember Acts 16:31 and John 5:24 as well as 1 John 5:13. Much more for us in Your Word, if we will only read it. Amen.
