Sounds like they're not going into the cargo hold until they pull the plane out of the water. The cargo hold has water, but is not completely full of water. The rescuers looked, but didn't hear any animal noises and didn't see any crates. I'm guessing it was dark. If I was an owner, I'd be screaming bloody murder that they pull in the plane now. Forget the NTSB investigation--you can still conduct that, but we still have lives that might be saved. However, they might have already been dead by the time I started praying. I didn't know.

Not going to quit now. Just save one, God, I'll take one. And get on with it and pull that plane in!

It happened. One pet was saved, who was in the cabin. A remaining dog and two cats were recovered, all belonging to the same family. Awful as it is, the cats really should have been in the cabin.

I have a dog whom I simply will not fly, under any circumstances.
