The doctrine of separate but equal doesn't work any better for gender than it does for race.

You are very programmed. They didn't miss one trick when they punched your code.

That's fine but you're arguing with Jesus, all the apostles (especially Paul), God the father, and the Holy Spirit.

Not at all, I will say it one more time..... context, you are not taking into context what was happening at the time. Sorry, I just cant keep saying it anymore. Look back through the thread where I explain this. I cant keep repeating myself.

In the one Church Jesus Christ founded, to which He promised the fullness of truth, women do everything that men do. The one exception is becoming priests, because Jesus Christ chose 12 out of 12 men as the first priests of His Church, even though there were many holy women available.

Well only a couple of denominations have "priests" so would you include pastors in that?

Yes, we are all saved in the same way.

Salvation also concerns the way we live here on earth and how we treat other people. While Jesus' death on the cross justified us and proclaimed us "not guilty" as he took our guilt upon himself, our salvation is a lifelong process, a journey of growth and maturing in our faith.

Sure, but you didn't really believe you'd change my mind. We've reached a stale mate friend.

Hi guys
1 Timothy 2:11-15 says women should be quiet.

Does it mean that women can't write books about christ or women can't have a youtube channel about bible teachings?

Thanks
No, it doesn't. If it did, Lydia would not have been able to tell her family about the Gospel (Acts 16:11-15).

Rather, it models the Jewish synagogue rules that it would be the male priests that teach in the synagogue. Remember too, what it says about exercising authority over a man. Writing a book or putting up a YouTube video isn't exercising authority over a man. Note too that it means spiritual authority, so deleting nasty comments from the YouTube comments section wouldn't be a violation either, since that's not an act of spiritual authority.

"Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”

So God created humankind in his image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them." (Genesis 1:26-27)

You're right...God who created (programmed and punched codes in) all things does speak in the plural here.

When it comes to how we are saved, women and men are alike before God. Not is there female or male. For we are all one in Jesus.

In Baptism female believers and male believers have alike put on Jesus' righteousness.

In terms of salvation, it makes no difference to Jesus whether a person is female or male. By putting on Jesus in Baptism all become God's children.

Differences in gender are done away with. In the Christian Church, people of one sex aren't better than people of the other.

All Christians are in the same way God's children through Christ. We are all alike, sinners in salvation's need, God's children by faith in Jesus, and so all one in him.

And you feel that fits into our current discussion because...?

And as Christians, we live out our salvation in the here and now. God's kingdom is both present and future. God calls individual *people* to various roles in his kingdom, not genders, races, age groups, etc.

God does call individual people. It just so happens that all the individual people God calls into the pastorate are males.

Which is a view that has been proven to be false over the many years there have been Christians as many women as well as men have served their callings in pastoral roles.
