When, in the end, there are men who insist on their own way, then that is in God's loving, just, and merciful hands.

God's mercy is based on the judgment of His Son described in John 5:27-30, whose timing is found in Revelation 11:15-18.

Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Just wondered about the end times. Will people of a different faith than Christianity be given a chance to convert before judgement day?

The book of Revelation indicates that in the last days there will be no one ignorant of the gospel and the consequences of rejecting it and following the corrupt world system:

Revelation 14:6-11 NASB And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, having an eternal gospel to preach to those who live on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people; (7) and he said with a loud voice, "Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters." (8) And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who has made all the nations drink of the wine of the passion of her immorality." (9) Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, (10) he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. (11) "And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

But we have no guarantees that we are on the cusp of the end, so we must be diligent to proclaim the good news to the lost, both by doing it ourselves in our own circle of influence, and by supporting those who do as missionaries in other areas.

And do you believe judgement day is in the near future or a much longer time? I know that no man knows the hour. Maybe I shouldn't speculate about this.

I used to believe it was coming in my lifetime, but I am not so sure now. We are called to be ready no matter whether He comes for us personally (we die) or for His church corporately (the rapture):

Matthew 24:36-44 NASB "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. (37) "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. (38) "For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, (39) and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. (40) "Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. (41) "Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left. (42) "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. (43) "But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. (44) "For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

We are free to speculate on times and seasons, but avoid setting a date for His return. We can now see wars and rumors of wars, famines, and earthquakes... but Jesus said these things are only the beginnings of birth pains. Birth pains start off at intervals, but as the birth draws near, the pangs become stronger and more frequent. If we are indeed living in the last days, expect wars, famines, and earthquakes to become more frequent and severe as the time approaches.

Everyone who turns to Yahweh (God), may be saved. (not necessarily will be, but may be).
Jesus never casts away anyone who comes to Him (in repentance, for help, for life, for healing, for salvation).
There is no speculation needed. Many souls die lost because of speculation I think.
After anyone dies, then comes the judgment, as revealed already in Yahweh's Word (the Bible). No one escapes judgment. Those who are born again, are resurrected to eternal life. Others are already (in this life) condemned because of unbelief, as written in Scripture, Yahweh's Word.

Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME." That means He is the ONLY WAY to salvation.
Christianity has spread all over the planet, in China, Russia, India and Muslim nations. Many are converted, leaving their religions, families and cultures for Christ. This will continue until the LAST TRUMPET (which I believe is the seventh trumpet - Rev. 11:15, the same event as Rev. 7:9 but just a different vantage point.) * When you study Revelation for years you begin to realize that it is not chapter by chapter in a linear chronological order. The trumpets and the bowls fall within the Seven Seals as if it were a 5- dimensional Sphere of events. Imagine a transparent sphere with not just things on the surface, but also within. You must turn this sphere to see different vantage points. and what's inside. And to confuse everyone further, we are in 4 dimensions, time being the fourth, a physical dimension. The spiritual dimension is outside our time domain so prophetic events must be shown to us in an order that we can grasp, one at a time. But that doesn't mean each trumpet blast waits for the events to be complete before the next one is blown. They may be blown rapidly and then the events accumulate over 3 1/2 years.
We don't know who the reprobate are, so all we can do is spread the gospel to them, pray and if they respond to the call, we witness, minister, whatever is needed. If they don't, we move on.
My take is that the remnant CHURCH, the Book of Life, insists of 1/3 of the population. Currently there are over 7.5 billion people and 2.42 billion Christians - so we are close to 1/3.

I think this is more accurate:
Leonard Ravenhill - Grace Gems!

https://www.gracegems.org/30/leonard_ravenhill_quotes.htm

Leonard Ravenhill (1907 – 1994). I went to a church not ... I doubt if 5% of professing Christians in America are born again! ~ ~ ~ ~ Entertainment is the devil's ...
==============================
excerpt:
"The true man of God is heartsick, grieved at the worldliness of the Church, grieved at the toleration of sin in the Church, grieved at the prayerlessness in the Church. He is disturbed that the corporate prayer of the Church no longer pulls down the strongholds of the devil."

This Ravenhill is mistaken.
God is sovereign. This man implies that man can mess up God's plans for the church.
We have faith in God, His promises in the Bible and we can count on exactly what it says. He has an exact number in the Book of Life. Prophecy could not be told if All EVENTS LEADING UP TO THE END TIMES HAPPENED IN PRECISE ORDER THAT HE ORDAINED THEM TO. HE SEES IT ALL.
It appears your faith and hope is somehow tied to and dragged down by man's failures.
The CHURCH is right on track. God had already factored in all our blunders and weaknesses into His perfect plan.

This Ravenhill is mistaken.
All of his life and testimony and teaching is in line with God's Word.

There does not exist any evidence that he is mistaken at all,
and
as he states has been seen also and proven by testing by others, not only himself.

You are like doubting Thomas. You "doubt that 5 % of professing Christians are born again". That is a judgment you aren't qualified to make.
The Church in the first century had problems no different then today's. Read the letters to the seven churches. Only two were not chastised for sinful worldly practices. God allows evil for a purpose and has factored all our sins and blunders into His perfect plan that CANNOT BE DERAILED BY MAN. HE IS RIGHT ON SCHEDULE WITH THE CHURCH, IT'S BODY AND IS APPROACHING ITS FULLNESS SHORTLY.
I know your type, who lack mercy and are quick to judge. Remove the plank out of your eyes first. I suppose you attend one of those cold churches where the Pastor stands up and preaches about Hell fire and sin too often, even making the congregation feel unworthy and guilty, pointing his holy finger at them. I have been to a church like that - once. They don't grow much. Maybe I'm off about your church, but if I'm right, try finding a loving church that always ends the sermon with Grace, forgiveness, with a Pastor who is warm and not condemning. Stop being negative about Christianity, it is the world of unbelievers who are lost. Listen, faith is weak im some and strong in others. There are few workers and that is just all He needs. Yes some people are double-minded but no one without a conscience would bother attending church. Before I was a Christian, I didn't want anything to do with Jesus. We cannot come to Him unless the Father draws us. We cannot believe unless He enables us. We can do nothing without Him. AND EVERYTHING, ALL GOOD WORKS ARE DONE BY THE HOLY SPIRIT THROUGH US. So you can't take credit nor try to elevate yourself above others and look down on them. Humility is your next lesson.

Not at all. In the last 2000 years, many men of God and also worldly observers have noted that 5% or less of so-called Christians are true Christians.

Why doubt God's Word and Jesus?

"Few are saved" "Many are on the wide road to destruction" and refuse to repent.

His Word is TRUTH, unchangeable, perfect and clear.

Polls are not very accurate but we can get an idea from a 2016 Gallup poll that about 73% of Americans identify themselves as Christians, 6 % are composed of other religion's and 21% of no religions faith (Of that 10% are atheist and I guess 11% agnistic).
Out of the 73 %, half are religious and the other half not. So that tells me 37% believe in Jesus, read the Bible, go to Church and practice, grow and are saved. That does not mean that the others aren't. The prerequisite for salvation is faith in Christ. If you believe He dies for your sins and rose on the third day, your in. It doesn't say you must do this , do that, or that works are required either. Any good works done are credited to the Holy Spirit working in you. Salvation comes by Grace through faith, it is a gift from God, not by works so that none may boast.
We don't know what is in someone's heart. However, by their fruit you will know them. This fruit is of the Spirit.

TO MAKE AN ACCESSMENT of 5%, IS IMPLYING a Weak God, since He alone prepares the hearts of those who are in the Book of Life and transforms their spirits and souls.
I think many are double minded, having worldly values, wanting to live on their own throne while acknowledging a Creator that put them entirely in charge of their own lives. Still, they may be on the list, but because they are stubborn. GOD has years of lessons for them to learn before He can get their attention, before they get serious.
Sometimes people don't finally seek God until something terrible happens or they are on their death bed.

The truth is better than making a false assessment (like as if "many" vs "few" find the narrow road to life) .....
We all in Christ must go to God's Word for truth, and rest in Him and what He Says, not what the world or society says.....

God is Perfect in Judgment, as well as in Mercy. His Word tells how things are.

Nothing contrary to His Word is to be accepted nor believed.

People accept and believe a lot of things that aren't true. It doesn't void their faith in Christ. To just realize that before the printed word, most people had very limited knowledge of access to the Word. They knew basics, but had faith. Ask them questions about various doctrines and they didn't have a clue. A prime example is with Catholics. They may believe that praying to Mary or the Saints is good Christian practice and necessary. That. Doesn't void their faith in Christ. Most of them believe in a theistic evolution, which is not Biblical. So does their misunderstanding of Genesis void their Faith? No. If we were required to understand the whole Bible correctly, not many would be saved.
Some people might believe in UFOs, which is a stretch.
We are sinners and we don't fully understand the way we should go sometimes. The Bible actually poi ts out people who judge others often are hypocritd's because they do the same things. Judge not lest you be judge...
