I Thank you that you have my best interest at heart. As you well know - I am a little slow in hearing you and even slower in acting on what you say. Help me to be obedient to your instructions ( Even when every part of me doesn't feel i can do it ). Smoking is a tough one for me - I pray you help me in the process. Fill me with your peace - lose me in your presence - take away the edge - even shout at me if you must but help me I pray.

For my sake and my family's sake.

I know God can do it - it's the me part of the process that I'm worried about.

So here's a reminder to myself...

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me !

OK - I'm going to bump this thread again.

I'm ashamed to admit it but didn't get round to quitting. I got a another telling off from the Lord after that and still haven't got round to doing it. I sort of learned the hard way ( as usual ) to be obedient. It's only for God's Grace and his plan for me that I'm still standing.

I just thank you for your Grace. I'd heard of grace and talked about grace before but didn't really understand it until recently. I'm a slow learner but you know me better than I do and I thank you for your teaching and patience with me during this process.

In my weakness during this period be my strength. When my mind is all confused give me the mind of Christ. When I'm struggling to remember your promises please speak them to me so I can stand on them. Lord Jesus you are in me and with me and I ask for your power to come through this.

Help me to see you more clearly.
