Sucka, stocks are up! (Outrageous trying to paraphrase opening minute) . ok,that was the cringe worthy moment. But otherwise I was struck by the sincerity, and this is the level they are at, talking about "religious freedom" as if we had any ever had any real threat to it in the last few decades in the U.S. Just sincerely what they believe.

The good moment, saying that he's speaking up for persecuted Christians in other nations, which is indeed surely needed.

But sincere. They really believe in this list of priorities.

I'd rather a president showing mostly "love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control."

Even though Trump has many shortcomings all Christians should be very happy that he is our president for he supports Christian values even though his own may be lacking at times.

Hanging out with pastors can only be a good influence on President Trump. With a little spiritual guidance he can go a long ways.

Of course the same can be said for all of us.

Huh. What if the devil threw a party and we were all invited?

Most I know including Trump would not attend.

Trump gathering with these pastors is a great thing, why would anybody knock it or make fun of it?

Overall he gave a good speech though he continues to lie about the Johnson Amendment. I do pray that he finds humility from that enormous ego and humbles himself before God.

May the transforming power of the Holy Spirit change him.

I don't know how anyone can claim Trump is anti-christian or a bad Christian when he does stuff like this.
We live in a secular society and we must keep these spheres separate, even as a White Evangelical, I am aware of this. Our religion is about self-sacrifice and love, not altering our beliefs for the sake of power. Why do my fellow evangelicals accomdate their lifelong beliefs to support candidates who are simply not living the good word of God. It is disgusting!

Matthew Chapter 4! When god was offered power by Satan, he didn't take it. If god cared about power than the values of the Christian would be more aligned with what White Evangelicals believe in. Christianity is about caring for others and being a kind human being. A real Christian does not alter their beliefs to hold power, because we should not care about political power. Good Point JH! There are other sects of faith which are not contradictory like American Evangelicalism is.

Brother did you know? --
Tim Keller, Max Lucado, and Hundreds of Evangelical Leaders Oppose Trump’s Refugee Ban
Regardless of court fight’s final outcome, fewer persecuted Christians will make it to America under president’s plan.
...
More than 500 conservative evangelical pastors and leaders representing all 50 states are urging President Donald Trump to reverse his temporary ban on refugee resettlement and his “dramatic reduction” of the total America will accept this fiscal year.

The open letter, published Wednesday as a full-page ad in The Washington Post with more than 100 of the signatories listed, was notable for two reasons. First, it contained only conservative evangelicals...

Why Tim Keller, Max Lucado, and Hundreds of Evangelical Leaders Oppose Trump’s Refugee Ban

Did you know that? It was like most news under the radar, because one political tactic Trump does is to constantly distract with new stuff, and the result is that many won't notice big things that are going down.

What's disgusting is that so many Christians are afraid of asserting Christ above systems of man made government. So many Christians are ashamed of owning the gospel out of fear of being judged by the world. So many Christians are in favor of putting worldly philosophies on the same rank as Christianity as if they would ever be equal. So many Christians think that a secularized world filled with coexisting religions would be better and fairer then the very real Kingdom that Christ will reign over. That's what's truly disgusting.

Perhaps, for some, Christianity is more than a fundraiser.

Trump also "hangs out" with North Korea's Kim Jong-un and only has good words to say about him - just who is responsible for providing "a little spiritual guidance" to the other?
