So I'm not the only one who sees the Summit as a flop.

It did what the organizers wanted though, to steer away from any connection between the Lavender Mafia in the Church and the abuse of teenage boys and young men. Except they are connected.

You can only view the outcome in terms of expectation. What did anyone expect could happen?

I had low expectations of concrete outcome, but I applaud the holding of it.It was a very brave decision to put the entire thing on public display - and a well intentioned effort to create dialogue in an era the church is accused of covering up..

But I guess I am less pessimistic than most.
I still hold the fundamental truth.

That Jesus decides who is Pope, and he chose through the conclave - so those who seek to depose him or undermine him will fail. That Jesus committed the "gates of hell will not prevail" against is church so they wont!

That is not to say it will be pretty. In the words of our Lady of Akita.
"God is already much offended"
A bad time is coming or already here
See how these messages now resonate loudly "cardinals opposing cardinals" "those who accept compromise infiltrating the church"

But she promises "in the end my immaculate heart will triumph" and I trust her!
She also promised at Fatima "the dogma of the faith will always be preserved in portugal" - and I for one have now bought a house there!

"fire from the sky" has a poignant meaning in Japan, and with India and Pakistan now at war,
Trump and rocket man facing off. Iran promising hate against the west. The chinese with warships in china sea... Isis who care nothing for life. and Putin bragging about how venezuela will be the new cuba crisis, and he can hit the US with hypersonic missiles. Europe giving way to populism, anti semitism in france.....it doesnt bode well... Which of that lot would you trust?
