Gab wasn't "conservative", it was a haven for reactionary extremists.

I guess some folks have already forgotten about Kathy Griffin and how she lost a lucrative endorsement.
Noooo! She started a GoFundMe and was given a bazillion dollars and Soros paid for to go on tour with the severed head.

You're confusing communism with socialism. Western Europe had market socialism for the latter half of the 20th Century.
Non-sequitur. The point was that socialism tends towards propaganda and elimination of free speech (even if you put the word "Democratic") in front of it. Capitalism doesn't steal resources at the point of a gun the way socialism does. People inform themselves on value and exchange the dollars they have for more valuable goods and services. When companies like PayPal say they won't support Gab because they didn't take down a site by an account holder who committed a hate-crime then one can say why are you still supporting Facebook?

Certainly you read my post, ""TORONTO — A man whose Facebook account paid homage to a mass killer was charged Tuesday with 10 counts of first-degree murder, one day after police say he plowed a rented van onto a crowded sidewalk in what eyewitness accounts and surveillance video appeared to indicate was a deliberate attack."

I didn't see a single comment from paypal or others condemning Facebook for keeping this mass murders site up.

No outcry whatsoever from liberal reporters.Toronto van attack suspect Alek Minassian's Facebook account praised mass killer."

The point is that they know Mark is a liberal and agrees with their ideas. GAB however is a platform for conservatives. It is the only distinction. Propaganda and censorship of ideas are anathema to free markets. However as one heads towards totalitarianism (of either the communist or nationalist variety) propaganda and censorship increase with the goal of driving out dissent.

That is the point.

Do you see the HA HA HA? It was a joke.

I think Trump's supporters would have found it just as hilarious and just as benign if Hillary had said something like "Maybe the Antifa folks can do something about Trump".

Maybe I'm confused but in the article you linked it clearly states, "Facebook spokeswoman Meg Sinclair said Minassian's account has been deleted."

Or are you attacking Facebook for not removing the account before they got confirmation of the exact person that committed the acts -- not deleting the accounts of every person who has that, or a similar, name; or not having clairvoyance to be able to go and delete an account before the police even know who perpetrated the attack? You realize that since Facebook is close to having 2 billion separate accounts, it can take time for them to 1) know that an account should be deleted and 2) finding that exact account to ensure they don't delete the wrong account.

Several threats made against Trump per day: Secret Service director

"Threats against President Trump for his first six months in office are tracking about six to eight per day, the new director of the U.S. Secret Service said on Thursday, CBS News' Pat Milton reports.

It's about the same number of threats made against former Presidents Obama and George W. Bush while they were in office.

The threats include emails, social media postings and someone reporting a suspicious statement, said U.S. Secret Service Director Randolph "Tex" Alles in his first briefing since taking office in April.

Sounds like Trump is nothing special. That must drive him nuts!

Since the population grows every year, this means that Trump might have a lower per capita rate of threats directed towards him.

Capitalism doesn't steal resources at the point of a gun the way socialism does.

You really need to read up on the activities of American corporations over the last century or two. You should start with the activities of the American food corporations in middle and South America, and the things your capitalist government were happy to do to help their endeavors.

So this is an appeal to intellectual snobbery. I like it. I teach business at a business school. So I don't think I need the type of education you suggest. I am aware of the United Food Company and the US's interference in governance in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Dominican Republic. Abuses of governmental power is the very thing Libertarians like me eschew. Small government, small power to steal and corrupt, large government, large power. But how does your comment take aim at free markets, or more accurately, social market economies like that of the US?

My point, and I hate to belabor it, is that as governments tend from free limited government to democratic socialism, socialism, or national socialism, fascism they tend toward more propaganda and censorship of ideas.

What was missed in the OP was the censorship of conservative ideas and speech. Many use the childish rhetorical trick of labeling conservatives Nazis or "alt-right." These are attempts to dodge the discussion of facts and evidence. What is puzzling is why atheists are trolling Christian Forum to propagate socialism and decry conservative speech.

What a convincing rebuttal. My response will be just as profound. Yeah it is.
I will gladly give a more substantive reply when I'm a full keyboard.

For now, what you were describing as socialism was actually communism.

Communisim is a fantasy of Marxists and has never actually existed. The USSR., China , Cuba , Vietnam etc. claiming to be communist all are or were Socialist countries. As socialism requires government control of the economy as well as the means of production and an end to property rights it is not possible for individual liberty to thrive in a socialist country as individual liberty will always be secondary to collective good as defined by the people with the guns.

Ah so you know perfectly well that unrestrained capitalism leads to political corruption, the use of violence in pursuit of profit, and a complete disregard for the rights of citizens and working people, yet you still favor it? Curious. Or perhaps despite centuries of real work examples showing exactly what happens, you continue to labour under the mistaken impression that it’s just because the system itself is always corrupted by outside influences like government? Isn’t that exactly what proponents of socialism always say? That the system is great but has always been ruined by corrupt individuals?

Perhaps it’s time to accept that neither system is perfect and the best result lies somewhere in the middle.

This is a strawman!

If you are going to be obvious in your mischaracterization of free markets you won't be able to fool anyone. The key to socialism is to be subtle in your propaganda.

Free markets and capitalism has been the first and only successful method of bringing hundreds of millions out of poverty and into not only prosperity but also helping the downtrodden around the world.

Since Herbert Hoover led America's private capitalists to help the Belgians without food during WWI, American capitalist have out given the rest of the entire world combined.

The chances are, like Jim Carrey, you are a capitalist who finds it convenient to enjoy the benefits of capitalism while spouting the horrors or it.

I just find it laughable that you cheerlead for unrestrained capitalism while completely ignoring the countless historical examples of why it’s a hideously bad idea that causes massive suffering and a wildly unequal society where the super rich run roughshod over everyone else.

Personally I want a mix of socialism and capitalism (which all our countries already have), but which leaned a little more to the socialist side than we have currently. That’s not a particular radical position, but these days it’s almost impossible to have a moderate view without being told you’re either a commie or a Nazi.

What is puzzling is why so many Christians need to use religion as a crutch when debating on an internet forum.
