Praying right now for the light of Christ to shine upon you and lift you out of this dark pit of despair. It is a spiritual battle friend and as such you need to open up the Word and get out the Sword and go to work on those powers and principalities. Eph 6:10

Been there many times. Still go there sometimes, brother. We're ALL weak. It's GOD Who is strong. God is BIGGER than all the darkness-es that may surround us and be all around us at any given time. His LIGHT pierces that darkness and sends it, and all that hides in it, to scattering. Praying that He does just that brother. Father may it be so, in Jesus name, amen (((hug)))

Peter tried to save his life while walking on the water. When he failed, Jesus reached down and saved him. Sometimes we need to come to the end of ourselves. Having exhausted all of our will, effort and works. And look beyond ourselves to Christ who can actually save us.

Father, when people want prayer because they are in a dark place, lead them into the light of Your written Word. Psalms 27:1. When they are weak, lead them into the strength that is to be found in You that is revealed in Your written Word. Isaiah 40:29; 2 Timothy 2:1. Amen.

Father, other verses that come to mind are Isaiah 40:31 and Habakkuk 3:19. Use Your word in the life of this one that is feeling weak in a dark place. Amen.

Father, may this one become well acquainted with Your opinion of them. You created them, they were born. I've been giving your situation some thought. And looking back over my life some things really stand out in staying on top. It's not all spiritual. But hard physical labor helps even though most try to avoid it. Take that any day over a desk job. Also working out at the gym 3 days a week boosts endorphins = happy. And bicycling keeps me afloat. Not taking myself or others too seriously is a big plus. Only God can size us up honestly.

I work out three times a week (ran 4.5 miles recently and burned over 500 cals.)
Not taking myself too seriously (and others) is something I have trouble with.
Long story short, some things happened Sunday, had me in a depressed mood, I caved to a temptation yesterday 3 times, and was really down. In addition to that, I was taking some people at work the wrong way on top of the depression.

The work place is always a challenge. But I found things are better if you make sure your buttons don't work when pressed. This is a biggy. It takes spiritual strength to hold an even keel and love enemies, going out of your way to help them. But God never lets you down when yo do this. I'm retired now but have tons of experience in this.
